Travel Style

Spring break is coming up fast! I think I have a little trip planned somewhere warm, and just need to work out the details. I love going on a warm weather getaway. The only thing is that during cooler months, it can be awkward to dress for a flight somewhere warm...you bundle up to go to the airport, but as soon as you get off that plane, you can't shed those layers fast enough! First, I would like to share my "pro" tip for travel: no matter where you are headed, always bring a big scarf to use as a blanket! I have been wearing my Mark and Graham one non stop since I got it. The scarf is now on sale with free monogramming!! I also like to wear leggings to fly, or a dress if it summer in my departing location. I feel like leggings are not the most glamorous, but they look nice, and are comfy. I usually pair the leggings with a button up shirt, and/or sweater. If I wear a dress, I usually wear a light cardigan over it. For a travel jacket, I usually wear so...

Spring Arrivals at J. Crew

J. Crew is really killing it with their new arrivals for spring. They have ALL of the gingham, and if you know me, you know my obsession with gingham 😂. They have gingham everything right now, including a restock on my favorite gingham pants. They are also still having a sale with an extra 30% off with code GOFORIT. So, as we all dream about spring, I thought I would share my J. Crew Spring wishlist! Gingham jacket Gingham dress Eyelet shirt Striped shirt Gingham sling-backs Gingham Pants I will be back soon with some swimsuits that have been on my radar!! Until then, stay warm! On Handling Stress

Last week was one for the books, and not for the good books. It was one of those weeks when one horrible thing happens, and it spirals downward from there. I spent 4/5 of the school days feeling completely stressed, and on edge. I have never felt that level before. Because of this, I only did the bare minimum of studying, and I know my classmates felt it too. The feeling did improve, and I felt a lot lighter by the end of the week, if that makes sense. It didn't take much to get me to a better place by the end of the week, and I realized that I have handled stress pretty well my entire life. Everyone handles stress/anxiety in their own way. We all come up with our own coping mechanisms that we know work for us. I think it is crucial to know this about yourself, so you know what to do when things feel like too much. It is so good to be in tune with your body in all of your dimensions of physical, mental and emotional health. I cannot emphasize this enough! Here are my tips o...

Cozy Rooftop Brunch

Photos by this beautiful and talented lady! I have been struggling to find pieces for winter, so I have been rewearing a lot of what has been in my closet! I looove this skirt, and wear it at least once per week. I also have been layering different pieces to create new looks, and also to be warming for the cold winter days. Although I have been loving getting creative with putting outfits together, I would love to find some new winter staples! If you have suggestions I would love to know!! Most that I am wearing here is old. But here is a link to an old posts- here  and here - with some more details on some of the outfit pieces! ALSO...Go check out THIS POST , and enter the giveaway for the Lilly Pulitzer x Swell bottle!! As always, #dontforgetyourpearls

What I'm Loving (+ GIVEAWAY!!!)

Here is the first What I'm Loving of 2019! I've really been into some very classic pieces at the start of this new year, and loving some old favorites! Classic Tan Trench //  I had my eye on this one from J. Crew for a LONG time. The other week, it was 25% off, I had a J. Crew gift card, AND I had $15 dollars in J. Crew rewards money, so I HAD to get it!! I am obsessed, and I cannot wait to wear it on repeat this spring!! Here are some more cute options that are on good sale!!: Tan Trench 1 , Tan Trench 2 .  Simple Closet Staple Pieces // I have been on Pinterest pinning a lot of more classic staple pieces. Things like simple solid colored turtle necks and sweaters. I recently bought this sweater from Tuckernuck , and have been wearing it on repeat! It is so easy to style well, and style differently. I recently wore it with black watch plaid pants and loafers. Loafers are another classic piece that I recently added to my wardrobe. My mom surprised me, and sent me these...

Everything today is Thoroughly Modern

I think I have been watching too much Mrs. Maisel ...or is there such a thing?! Haha, anyway, I have been really into adding classic pieces to my wardrobe, and styling outfits that feel timeless. If you've ever seen the show, Midge has amazing style, and has the perfect matching accessory for every outfit. I found this hat at Target , and while trying it on, a random woman said that I had to get it. Impulse at its best, especially while at Target!  I got the hat, and put it on. I love the classic vibes it gave me. I feel like a mix of Midge Maisel, and Millie Dilmount (from a musical called Thoroughly Modern Millie , which I named this post after!). It felt right from both of my muses for this look that I find a spot in NYC to wear it. I felt like I stepped back in time; I felt the 20s and 60s come to life, and was loving every minute! I wore things that I already had in my closet to go with it: a simple skirt, black sweater, loafers and black trench coa...
