House Dress Chic

Florals for spring, groundbreaking. Thank you, The Devil Wears Prada for giving us the most iconic fashion line ever. Every spring when I am drawn to the new floral patterns, this line runs through my head, and I actually laugh to myself! Dress I got this happy, little dress from J. Crew a few weeks ago. It fits my flowy, easy, comfy spring+summer dress needs to a tee. It is also a blue floral pattern, which makes me extra happy! The weather is actually started to take a turn for the warmer, so I am looking forward to more days spent in summer dresses, or house dresses as they are so called now. I love the notion of the house dress, its almost like a modern take on the muumuu, and a way to be fashionably chic in your home! This dress is still available, but only in some sizes- similar one here , here and here . (Yes, I will still link to J. Crew items because it is truly what I wear, and a good representation of my style and closet 😊.) I do not

What I learned during my Master's

I AM A #MASTERS!!!! This was technically official in January because I finished up my degree in December 2019, but this past weekend was supposed to be graduation. I wanted to post this now in honor of all 2020 grads. The past year and a half has been crazy. I learned a lot, stressed a lot, took a lot of exams, and felt every emotion on the spectrum. Lol, but its real and true. I really think education is one of the best investments you can make for yourself. You will learn so much about yourself. You will also learn so many important life skills along with what you are studying. And, an investment in education can be anything; it can be downloading that language app to learn [insert desired language here], or taking an online class because you find it interesting, or  maybe it is going back to school to get that degree/graduate degree. Whatever it is, do it. You will learn a lot about yourself in the end. Collaboration over competition. // Ok, so there is obviously stil

Graduation Day! 🎉

Its graduation day!! Well, sort of! I still wanted to celebrate this moment of gaining a Master's degree, and that is exactly what I did. I do not have much to say today, but if you are any type of 2020 Grads, I am sending a HUGE congrats, and just know that the world is big enough to live your dreams (even if it starts during a pandemic, this too shall pass 💕). In the words of Elle Woods: "We did it!" Skirt  |   Sweater  |   Similar Shoes  |   Bracelet As always,  #dontforgetyourpearls

Gifts for Grads 🎓

This week, and last week were supposed to be graduations for a lot of college, graduate, and professional school grads. Like me! Graduation for my school was going to be this Friday, and obviously it is postponed (or maybe canceled, no one really knows..). If you were to supposed to graduate this year, I send a huge congratulations your way on an amazing accomplishment 🎉🎓!  I think it is kind of hard to buy for new grads than ever before during this time. I have been gravitating towards gifts to help them celebrate, or pieces that will be useful for when they can officially (and safely) join the real, working world. START WITH A PARTY! Grad Party in a Box I thought this one from Etsy was so cute, and if you do a quick google search of party in a box you can find a whole lot! Champagne Delivery Cocktail Set Celebratory Pajamas Monogrammed Tote Suit Starter Kit Charm Bracelet  + Cap Charm And, I have to include my go-to #quarantin

What I'm Loving no.15

Another month of shelter in place is done, and my favorites reflect the times, hah. I think we have really settled into an at home routine, which makes me feel a bit more settled. I am such a routine person it turns out! Now that it is May, I also hope that the weather starts to cooperate a bit more and give us some warm, sunny days! We felt it was ok to go up to the cabin, as its a short drive, and we didn't have to get out of the car until we got here. It is so peaceful and a great change of pace. Cute, comfy shorts! //  These are the shorts in the picture above! They are from Carolina Dandy , a cute little online shop run by Addison, who is the sweetest!! The shorts are a nice light weight seersucker with a scalloped hem...what more could ya want in a pair of cozy shorts!! You can also have them monogrammed! I had my monogram done in the blue hydrangea thread and love how it looks on the light blue shorts. There is also a sale on lounge wear in the shop with co
