Black Friday Round-Up

Tis the season! 🎄 I may have done some damage Black Friday Shopping...😊 There was so many awesome sales happening, and I could not resist. Especially because J. Crew was having 50% off your purchase!!! What is that?!? It never happens, so I had to take advantage!! There was other great sales, and I also found a new winter coat!! Here is what I found: J. Crew Finds: Tartan Button-up -- LOVE this top! I felt it ran a little big and sized down.  Sleeveless Tartan Top -- Super cute, and runs big, I sized down. Tartan Pants --I mean I already was buying out the tartan section, so had to get the pants. I felt they were too short for me, so I ordered them in a tall size.  Shirt Dress --The red seems to be sold out, but the Navy and Camel colors are pretty, too! Sweater --Yes, I bought this sweater in a fourth color!!  Camel Turtleneck -- It is so soft, and will go with everything, and is good for layering.  L.L. Bean Fin

Plaid Dress Perfection

What I wore for Thanksgiving: the best plaid dress ever! I ordered the Cozy Cabin Dress  in Apple Pie Skillet  about a month ago, and have been saving it for the holidays, and I am glad I waited! It was the perfect dress to celebrate in. It is soft and comfy, but also makes you feel put together and festive. It is the perfect dress for me, and I want to get it in every plaid it comes in! As an added bonus this weekend, KJP is having 25% off site wide with code COZYCABIN!! Definitely take advantage, and snatch up one of these dresses!! It even looks cute with these boots and hat! Thankful!

Happy Thanksgiving from the tundra I call home! I hope everyone has a special holiday filled with good food, drink, and company. I have so much to be thankful for this year, I don't even know where to start. I am very thankful for you for coming to take a look at PWP 💕  So, go stuff your face, and stay warm today!! As always, #dontforgetyourpearls PS-- So happy for this sweet girl, and thank full I get to have some cuddles with her this week!

Friendsgiving

A picture I took while landing, with the Minneapolis skyline in the background 💕 Last night was my first night home for the Holiday. It was actually a great day because my best friend picked me up from the airport, and we each got coffee for each other because we share the same brain! We then did our favorite activity and went to Trader Joe's, and picked up things we needed for Friendsgiving. Next up, we hit up Sephora, and I utilized the VIB sale to get more eye masks (I'm obsessed), and this eye lash primer ! Super excited to try that.  A little later, I got to some some self care (did you see my self care challenge post ??), and got my hair cut. I always go to the same stylist at Juut . I think Juut is the best place for all of your hair, skin, and pampering needs. I always feel very very pampered when I go there. You start with drinking their yummy tea. Then you get a scalp massage before your wash and cut! It is the best!! I also have exclusively used Aveda  hai

What I'm Loving

We had the first snowfall in New Jersey this week! I was so so beautiful and reminded me of MN home. It looked so pretty, that I had a little impromptu snow shoot. The instant we went outside, the pretty snow felt like an icy, wet storm...we didn't last long outdoors 😂 I also had Exam Week #2. It was long, and filled with a lot of studying....glad it is done! Expect a few extra posts in the next week as I take some time off from studying to refresh my brain for finals in a few weeks!! Alright, here is what I have been loving lately: A plaid Brooks Brother's dress is perfect for snow.  Plaid //  With cooler weather here, I have been wearing all of my plaid pieces! I have some cute button-ups, dresses and skirts on heavy rotation right now! Here are a few favorites, and things I have my eye on: Cozy Cabin Dress Red Fleece dress Plaid Ruffle shirt Plaid Skirt , and this one Plaid Jammies! They look so cozy!! Starbucks Holiday Drinks // They're here

A J. Crew Sweater

I am in love with this sweater from J. Crew. I first bought it in the cream color in a bigger size to have a cozy sweater. I wore it all the time after I bought it. I think I wore it like 4 days in one week, once! So the other day when J. Crew was having a sale, I had to buy more of this sweater. I got it in the pretty emerald green color , and navy! Fall means sweater weather, but so many sweaters are wool, which I am allergic to 😩. When I found the J. Crew sweater , I WAS SO HAPPY TO SEE IT WAS COTTON. Even though it is cotton, I think it is just as warm as a wool sweater, and it does not make me itch or break out!! Also, there seems to be frequent sales this time of year at J. Crew , and this sweater is usually included, or it is already on sale!! Cream Sweater, pearls, hair bow, Warby Parker Glasses.  Navy Sweater, pearls, Tiffany bracelet, plaid blanket scarf.  I have the cream color in a medium for coziness, and the green and navy in x-small for a fitted look.

Fall Favorites

Fall is not over yet! (Even though Starbucks has holiday drinks, and I started listening to holiday music 😂.) I do have some favorites of the season so far! Some of them I have been using/loving for years, and some are new finds! Enjoy! Also, there are some great sales to check out this weekend!! Some of my favorites are: LL Bean , J. Crew , Nordstrom , Sephora , J. Crew Factory , kate spade new york , Mark and Graham (has daily deals, and gifts under $50!!). Enjoy!! I love Leaves ! I think I have talked about it before, but here it is again because I love it so much! It smells like the essence of a perfect autumn day! (It is currently on sale, too!!) This skirt from J. Crew Factory has been a fall staple. I wear it all the time, and pairs with anything! (Currently on sale, but sizes are going fast!) I love an Oxford Shirt. It is such a classic piece that can be layered or worn by itself! This is my go to! This Longchamp is my favorite carry-it-all totes I

Leaf Peeping on Campus

It was a beautiful day on the campus on Monday. All of the leaves are changing colors, and it feels more and more like true fall. Next to the library I like to study at, there is these parallel lines of trees that kind of make a tunnel! It is a stunning site! I love love this sweater!! (I will be doing a full review post on it soon!) Doesn't the green color pop off in the fall colors?! I paired the sweater with this favorite skirt. Wore it with tights and a button-up under the sweater. Perfect sweater weather outfit! The tunnel of trees is so pretty.  A pile of leaves on a college campus= I have to stand in it, and throw leaves in the air! CHALLENGE: 5 Days of Self Care!

As a grad student and future physician, I definitely put other things before myself. Right now I put my grades at the top of my priority list, and often neglect to care for me (take the two times I have been sick this semester). I study for hours on end and go to class. That is my basic day. I am taking the class Humanism and Medicine as my elective. In class, we discuss topics that ensure we do not forget that medicine is an intrinsically humanistic profession. The topic from this past week was provider self care. Our assignment was to skip normal class, and do an act of self care. I took this as a challenge! Maybe I shouldn't have taken it as a challenge because it is self care 😂. But, I wanted to challenge myself to an act of self care everyday for the school week. Here is what I did: Monday  //  I went to bed early on Sunday night, and got a work out in after school. It was sooo nice to go to bed early! It felt like such a treat. And, getting a little exercise in

Fall Wedding Lust

I have been to two absolutely gorgeous weddings this fall ( first wedding )💖 I went to a beautiful wedding this past weekend, and it was a blast!! It was at a winery in the mountains of Maryland, which was the perfect backdrop for a charming evening.  I guess I love Gal Meets Glam so much that I wore it to this wedding too!! I picked out the Zoe dress in navy (currently on sale!!). It has a beautiful, twirly skirt, and a bow detail on the bodice. It also has pockets, which came in more handy than I thought! Yes, I was cold to take this picture! I am in love with this dress (and with all the Gal Meets Glam dresses )!! It is the perfect dress to dance in, and feel beautiful in! Had to channel my inner Maria in Sound of Music 😊 So ~t w i r l y~! Such a romantic setting for this wedding 💕 After being to two fall weddings, I do have some advice on attire. No matter when during fall, or what the weather is forecasted, wear a sleeve-less dress. If you like
