The Lady Jacket Edit

I love when more classic pieces become "trendy" because that means endless options to add to your forever closet. The obsession with the Lady Jacket silhouette has been one of my favorites this year. This fall, they are everywhere in the best way possible. I have a handful of these style of jackets/sweaters and they are on heavy rotation in my closet. I reach for them often and they have been the perfect addition to my clinic wardrobe. These jackets look so effortless and polished and can definitely be styled casual to professional. I searched the internet to find some of my favorite styles of these jackets and tried to find some at all price points- I even found one on Amazon! Enjoy :) some outfit inspo LEFT COLUMN:   1  |   2  |   3  |   4  |   5 MIDDLE COLUMN:   1  |   2  |   3  |   4 RIGHT COLUMN:   1  |   2  |   3  |   4  |   5 As always #dontforge...

What to Wear to Work

I recently started my third year of medical school and that means we are finally in clinical rotations. I am on my family medicine rotation, which means I get to wear business casual and cute outfits instead of scrubs. I am probably the only medical student excited about getting to dress up and not having to wear scrubs every day. I did some shopping before I started rotations to add some more pieces to my wardrobe and have been sharing my looks every day I am in clinic.  I put together this little capsule of work wardrobe inspiration with great basics to mix and match and pieces I have been loving for my clinic wardrobe. I love having basic pieces to put together outfits and style different ways. I think they are so versatile and pieces you keep in your closet forever- like a white button up will never go out of style! It is fun to add your own personality to basics too- the other day I wore the navy pants and striped sweater t-shirt and tied a sweater around my shoulders b...

ADD TO CART

Happy March and welcome back to the blog! It has been awhile since the last post- school and getting covid again got in the way. But, I am on break this week so I am dusting off some drafts and writing some new posts! I have been loving these new arrivals from J. Crew. This gold button/Lady Jacket era style that has been in for this winter/spring season is one of my favorites. It is such a classic look that will always be in style and a great investment piece for your wardrobe. I am really eyeing the striped one but also the pink gingham one is adorable and I normally do not gravitate towards pink! I love all these great basics too- button-ups, sweaters and a great cut of white jeans. I am so excited for warmer weather ahead and fun spring outfits! Tartan Season

Its is almost tartan season! My favorite Hill House drop of the year is usually their tartan drop. Summer will always be my favorite season but there is something about a fun plaid dress that just gets me! Anyway, I meant to have this go up before the drop last week but did not get to it then but I am getting to it now! I am kind of sad they did not bring back the navy tartan this year because that is my absolute favorite and I wanted to replace my original navy tartan Ellie with one of the updated Ellies so instead I got the blackwatch Ellie . I do love blackwatch and think it is a great plaid to wear all winter, not just over the holidays. 10 Things I am Loving for Fall

I have been doing a lot of shopping and online browsing, lately. (I shared on my Instagram that I had covid 5 weeks ago and am still having lingering symptoms- so all the resting and long study breaks I have to take are full of scrolling through new fall arrivals, aha.) I am never excited for fall because I love summer and the warm sunny weather, but I adore to see all the new fall arrivals. I love how the "trend" this fall is almost back to classic style, which is fine with me because that means more shopping options! I picked my top 10 finds that I have been eyeing/maybe already ordered for the fall. Enjoy friends :) Ballet Flats -- So apparently ballet flats are back "in." For me and my classic style, they were never out but I guess it is a big trend for this fall! I have these flats and they are so comfortable and needed no break in time as the leather is buttery soft. I have been lusting over the black pair and even the light blue pair and woven pair . I lov...

Pre Fall Wish List

Yes, I said the F word- Fall. I am definitely someone who wants endless summer. But, there has been a few pieces that are leaning more fall that I have been eyeing. This is not me wishing away warm weather- just getting excited for another season of style! Pre-fall into early fall weather usually still feels like summer weather, so I tend to stick with my favorite blue and white palette. Even though I prefer to were blue, white and more muted pastels and neutrals, I am very drawn to a darker color way come fall and winter. I usually wear what makes me happy and some fall days that's a blue and white dress with espadrilles and others is a tailored navy skirt + button-up and flats. I always say that my style is classic, and there are so many fun sides to the classic style coin. My wishlist is definitely a mix of all the styles I love under that umbrella! These flats should be on your fall wishlist! Use code SARAHFLINT-BALIBBYM for $50 off! PRE-FALL WISHLIST: Navy Skirt - I have ...

How to Hill House Q+A

Not to be one of those influencers who says " I  got so many questions about ...", but I actually do get quite a few DMs with questions about Hill House Nap Dress sizing, shopping etc. I thought I could write up a big post that would always be live on the blog so anyone could easily reference it! Also this is not sponsored or anything, but maybe one day I can work with my dream brand :) If there is ever a question that is not answered here, please send me a DM and I will answer you and add it to this post! I own and wear a lot of Nap Dresses. I love this brand and love the founder and creator, Nell Diamond. I think she has such an incredible mission of HHH and for the fashion world. I even have their bedding , which was the first product/category HHH ever launched.  What size do you wear in the Ellie? -- I wear a small or x-small in the Ellie . All of my Ellie's are smalls except for one and I will explain why. This spring, HHH did a re-vamp of the Ellie: they made the ...

I'm totally day dreaming of all of my favorite places to take a little trip to this summer. So many places come to mind for a great long weekend summer trip. I thought I would start with the Hamptons. I have only been there a handful of times but love it. It is a really a big spot on the east end of Long Island and there is so much to enjoy! When I think about packing for a long weekend, I pick pieces that can be mixed and matched, as well as transition from day to night. My Nordstrom Sale Picks

Today starts public access to the Nordstrom Sale! This sale gets a lot of hype, and there are some good finds but I usually use it to stock up things I use every day and my favorite basics. This sale is known for things selling out but being restocked periodically, so keep you eye out if you see something that is out of stock but you want it! Bra  |   Sunglasses  |   Sunday Riley  |   Rain Boots Barbour Jacket  |   Longchamp Tote  |   Hydroflask Jeans  |   Sneakers  |   Diptyque Set  |   Winter Parka Bra - This is my favorite bra/brand of bras. I try to pick one up every NSale because I seriously wear them every day! Great fit and so comfy! Sunday Riley Set - These two products are my holy grails of skin care. I use them every day. The price for both of these products is hard to beat, so I recommend stocking up now or grabbing it to try! Sunday Riley really makes most of my favorite skin car...

Summer Botanicals

Spoiler alert: I love feminine floral printed things. But you probably knew that! I have been eyeing this print for months. It comes in this dress, skirt , shirt and a swim suit . When I saw that this dress was on sale, I was sold (along with some influencing from my blogger bestie twin, Shelby, aha). It is truly stunning! I really love any kind of botanical or floral print, especially in blue or white. I try to incorporate these all year round, but are mostly drawn to them in the spring and summer- florals for spring, groundbreaking.  A few notes on the fit of the dress. It runs ~small~. I first ordered a medium, but it was very snug. So when I saw a large was restocked, I exchanged and sized up. So the large fits, but its a little big, haah. Its ok, better than too snug and small! But the print is just gorgeous! Shop the dress here + here . And, shop more of my summer floral picks at the bottom of the post :) hope you enjoyed your first day of summer, yesterday! As alway...

What to Wear for the Fourth of July

I cannot believe it is almost July! This summer is going by too fast for me, and I go back to school in early august this year so I don't have that much summer left! Anyway, we are so close to the Fourth of July, that I that I wanted to put together some festive Americana looks for the holiday. I tied together pieces from every kind of style I love: classic/preppy style and feminine/grandmillennial all with a twist of coastal grandmother because it just works :) No matter your plans for the long holiday weekend, I have a look for you. Wishing you cool thoughts if there is also a heatwave where you live, and happy summer! Beach Vacation Packing List

A real beach vacation sounds amazing. I am imagining renting a house with a pool on the beach and going from pool to beach all day, then freshening up for fun dinners at night. There is no better feeling than the post sun/pool/beach day shower! My ideal beach vacay suitcase is filled with a lot of swimsuits, dresses and SPF. I also have been eyeing this lace Nap Dress , and think that because it is un-lined that it could make a cute beach cover up during the day, and then add a slip and you have a gorgeous dinner dress! I also LOVE this little after swim cover up too. A great tote that can double as beach and dinner should also be in the beach suitcase- I love this one from POOLSIDE . Here is what I would bring on a beach vacation this summer! 10 White Dresses for Summer

Even though I am firm wearer of white all year long, I gravitate more towards white and white dresses come summer time. I think there is just something so effortless about a white dress during the warm season. A white dress is really a piece you can have in your closet for the long haul because the color is timeless, so even if the silhouette is a bit trendier, I think you can make it work for years to come.  I have looked through all of my favorite places to shop to find 10 great white dresses I think are worth having in your closet this summer. If you are a bride, a graduate, or just in need of a white dress, then you have come to the right place!  Top Row:   One  |   Two  |   Three  |   Four  |   Five Bottom Row:   One  |   Two  |   Three  |   Four  |   Five As always, #dontforgetyourpearls SHOP THE POST:   JavaScript is currently disabled in this browser. What I Packed for Charleston

I am just back from my trip to Charleston, SC. It was an amazing trip, and I need to go back to explore all that I missed. I love seeing what others pack for trips to various destinations, and thought it could be helpful to share what I packed for my trip to Charleston. Since my family has a house in Florida, I am no stranger to the heat and humidity of the South this time of year. This is what I always keep in mind when packing for a late spring/early summer trip to this part of the country. I gravitate towards flowy dresses, lighter colors, and throw in sweaters for icy air conditioning and cooler nights.  For this trip, I wanted to include pieces that I can dress down during the day, and dress up a little more for night time since we love to do fun, nice vacay dinners. So I mostly packed dresses and skirts. I did wear linen pants for travel, so I also had those in case I was feeling like pants (I wasn't!). I also brought a swim suit + cover up for the rooftop pool/terrace...

Coastal Grandmother Aesthetic

Who else has been loving the  Coastal Grandmother aesthetic trend on TikTok? I've been very engrossed in this trend that is actually not at all trendy and a nod to classic style, which I LOVE. Classic summer style is one of my favorite facets of classic style- linen dresses and pants, sun hats, walks on the beach and lots of rosé. This is literally me. And I consider myself a grandmillennial, so coastal grandmother is not too far off. Some may call it coast-grand-millennial ;) ALSO, a couple of weeks ago the Today Show did a segment on the trend, and featured a clip from one of my coastal gran TikToks! These are things you need to create your own coastal grandmother aesthetic, the coastal grandmother starter kit if you will. You probably have most of these things in your closet if you are a fellow classic style lover, like myself. So lets all live our lives as if we lived in a Nancy Meyers movie, and have the best coastal grandmother girl summer. Coast Grandmother Essentials...

Spring Dress Round Up

Similar Dress | Sweater | Similar bag | Ballet Flats Transitioning to spring weather is always my least favorite time of year. I never know exactly what to wear: its always freezing in the morning then sizzling by the afternoon! We have actually had a couple of weeks of weather in the 30s and 40s, so I have been mostly reaching for more winter pieces, which does not match the time of year. I think I am trying to manifest warm weather with my round-up of spring dresses today. I just want so desperately to wear a fun, flowy dress and not have to worry about grabbing a big coat or being cold. I would love to pack away my sweater tights and turtlenecks for good.  Dresses are my favorite piece to transition to warmer weather with, and I think we could still have some chilly days ahead so these are my quick tips to layer up your spring frock: a sweater/cardigan that can be easily worn around your shoulders but thrown on if you are chilled, a long dress with longer sleeves is ...
