MY FAVORITE SARAH FLINT STYLES

Sarah Flint has become one of my favorite places for shoes. I love what the company stands for and how the founder, Sarah Flint, has structured the business. All the shoes are designed with women in mind with arch support+padding (!), and maybe my favorite, a wider toe box so your feet/toes do not feel squished in the bottom of the shoe! All of the designs are *handmade* in Italy by family factories that have been making shoes for generations. I own the Natalie Flats and the Perfect Emma Sling. You can always use my code SARAHFLINT-BALIBBYM for $50 off your own pair! As I always say, your feet are important and you should invest in them! The Natalie flats are the classic pointed toe flat with a little bow detail. I love love how comfy and chic they are. I reach for these often. I think the shape of the shoe is very flattering for anyone! I feel like they go with every outfit too- wear it with a dress, skirt, jeans, anything! These are the Perfect Emma Slings. I think they are such a cl

Winter Survival pt 2- Outdoor Gear

I have tried to have a change in mindset about this winter- I have been trying to enjoy being outdoors and dressing for the weather. I do have to admit that there was a solid 2+ weeks where we had below zero weather, and it was not safe to go outside for long periods of time, and I hated it haha. But, other than that I have been trying to get outside this season, and feel it is especially important this year as we are going on almost one year of quarantine and staying home during a pandemic. This is part 2 of a winter survival guide, and we are chatting about the best outdoor winter gear so you can enjoy the outdoors! You can read part 1 here , where I give some tips and ideas on how to keep yourself busy indoors. Here, I am going to break down the winter essentials and my favorites! [This may be the least chic look I have ever posted to the blog, but it is important information haha!] 1. Parka The most important thing is a good winter coat/parka. Mine is from The North Face . Accent with Blue

ACCENT WITH BLUE Shirt  |  Similar Skirt  |  Shoes  |  Bow  |  Similar Bag Shirt | Similar Skirt | Shoes | Bow | Similar Bag I have been playing around with how to add my favorite color combination, blue and white, to my winter wardrobe. I was looking at my closet, and thought why not wear a very neutral outfit and accessorize with blue.  I love how the blues pop against the white shirt and gray+neutral colored skirt. I went with this light blue velvet bow from my friend Sarah's small business and an old blue bag from kate spade. They are not the exact same shade of blue, but I like that it wasn't so matchy-matchy but complemented each other well.  You can totally wear this outfit as we transition to warmer months by not wearing the tights- I had to wear the tights because it was still only 20 degrees in MN even though it felt warm compared to the last several weeks of arctic weather we had. I might even switch up the shoes for a more springy look by wearing some espadr

Warm Weather Wishlist

After 2 weeks of below zero temperatures, I am ready for warm weather to be here. I am also excited that we are out of the polar cold snap and that it will be 40 degrees for a couple of days. A week ago, I started to online window shop for spring/summer pieces and decided to compile them here. I really love dressing for warmer weather and just wearing nothing but flowy, cute, comfy dresses. I did include the tan trench coat (which I already own), as spring can still be chilly here in Minnesota and I always advise light layers! So hopefully the trench gives you some warmer weather outfit inspiration. As you can see, most of my picks are in my favorite color way: blue and white. If you scroll farther down, I have included some bonus pieces I did not include in the collage 😊. What are you looking forward to?

I have seen this kind of post go around, and thought it was so interesting to read the responses. Today, I am going to share what I miss/what I am looking forward to in a more "normal" world again, and I would love if you would share yours.  It probably comes at no shock that I am most looking forward to going to Broadway again. In the fall of 2019, I wrote this post touching on my love for live theatre and how to see shows on a budget. It feels like we have all lived two lifetimes since I wrote that post! It has also been 1 year since I saw my last show- I saw Wicked at the end of February 2020. [which I have gratitude for every day since last March.] My friend Caitlin of LemonadePressBlog.com and I are both sharing our love of Broadway today on our blogs and on Instagram, so make sure to go read her blog post and check out both our instagrams: @lemonadepressblog + @libbylovespearls It it hard to explain the feeling I get when I see a live show and why I love and miss i

Outfits Lately

It has been ages since my last post like this. Maybe a year ago? Or more? Anyway, these are some outfits from the past few weeks or so. I want to start doing these more because I like reading other people's post like this, as it gives me inspiration for some simple outfits for staying at home and such. I was laughing as I was uploading the photos to draft the post because WOW was I into *jeans*. Well the one pair of jeans I have hah. I am really not a jeans person at all, but these called to me, and I actually like them?! I don't think I go on a jean buying spree, but I do like that they have been something different to throw on as I (we) spend our days at home. But, I am definitely not calling myself a jeans gal/lover any time soon. (also enjoy the various stages of room clutter ahah) PS- the outfit with the black blazer, dress and the heels was for a virtual interview day! In My Cart at J. Crew

I have been doing a bit of online window shopping, lately. J. Crew's new arrivals have been making me so happy and make me more excited for spring and warmer weather to arrive. I am sharing what I put in my cart while I online window shop, today. I know, I know, I will probably not need a new swim suit any time soon, but this navy and white striped one is SO darling! You can shop all these plus more, below. Can you tell blue and white is what I am most attracted to! As always, #dontforgetyourpearls JavaScript is currently disabled in this browser. Winter Survival part 1- Indoors

We are here/it is here...winter that is (we have been having highs of 0 degrees...). I have kind of been anxious about this winter since the chilly weather started to settle in last fall. I was worried that winter would feel like last spring, and I think no one wants to revisit those feelings. But honestly, winter hasn't been as bad as I thought it was going to be, but it is also not great haha. I have definitely tried to adopt a more hygge mindset about embracing winter weather and all that you cozy indoor space can offer you.  So today, I am sharing my tips on how we are surviving this winter *indoors edition.*   Theme Dinner Nights- We started doing this to have something to look forward to every couple of weeks. Our theme is pick a travel destination, and make dinner from the destination. It has been fun! The other night we had Greek/Mediterranean, and it was incredible making everything at home. It could also be fun to try to make a recipe from a favorite restaurant from trav

Shopping My Closet vol 3

All throughout the holidays, I would throw on this nap dress  ( $20 off! ) to be cute, comfy and chic while at home. Recently, I have been seeing other girls wearing it into the new year, and styling it up in various ways. A favorite style I have seen is the button-down under the dress, so I had to try it out for myself and for the third edition of shopping my closet (read vol 1 + vol 2 )! I have been loving creating these looks from what I already have in my closet because it forces me to get creative and mix and match pieces in new ways. Yes, I still have the urge to shop but maybe that's just winter+pandemic related boredom. So, this dress has not been in my closet for too long, but I think the styling opportunities are endless. Previously, I have worn it with a turtleneck and just loved the look of that! The plaid is a good winter plaid that just so happens to work perfectly for the holidays too. I normally do not wear much plaid past the end of the year, but I keep reachin

What I'm Loving no. 23

The first month of 2021 is over. How strange is that! I am back with my favorite post every month: my favorites of the month, and some there things I am loving! 1 // Wicked Good Moccs from L.L. Bean - These are some of the best slippers I have ever owned. I think I wear them almost every day now, and love how warm they keep your feet. I have acquired a few new pairs of boots/slippers, and I reach for these most often. 2 // Lake Pajamas - I wanted these for a while, and am so grateful to have received a pair for Christmas. I did not know I could love a pair of pajamas this much. They are the most luxurious pima cotton ever, and when I wear them I feel like I am sleeping on a cloud, or just melting into the comfiness. I really want to get a shorts set for the warmer months, but really would just like to replace all of my pajamas with Lake sets, hah. If you have not tried Lake yet, I highly recommend them! 3 // Sasha and Christy on YouTube - Omg, these gals are seriously the cutest, mos

Transitioning to Spring with Margaux and Shelby

Anyone else totally over winter, and just want some warmth and sun? ME! Today I have a really fun post that scratches that itch for warm weather. I teamed up with one of my good friends (one day, when we can travel, we will meet in person!) Shelby of TaylorLaneBlog.com and @shelbyclouthier on Instagram, to share looks we will be wearing to transition from winter to spring with our Margaux Demi Flats . After you read this post, hop over to her blog to read hers! For my transition to spring look, I thought of pieces that layer well, and can still keep you warm as the Minnesota very slowly melts into spring. Of course, I chose my navy Margaux flats (use code LIBBY10 for 10% off) for this look. I love these flats as they are incredibly comfortable and are such a classic piece. For the outfit, I went with this camel sweater dress , which may not sound super spring, but spring in MN is not that warm, and you need to be prepared for possible 40 degree weather. That is why I went with lay
