I have been playing around with how to add my favorite color combination, blue and white, to my winter wardrobe. I was looking at my closet, and thought why not wear a very neutral outfit and accessorize with blue. 

I love how the blues pop against the white shirt and gray+neutral colored skirt. I went with this light blue velvet bow from my friend Sarah's small business and an old blue bag from kate spade. They are not the exact same shade of blue, but I like that it wasn't so matchy-matchy but complemented each other well. 

You can totally wear this outfit as we transition to warmer months by not wearing the tights- I had to wear the tights because it was still only 20 degrees in MN even though it felt warm compared to the last several weeks of arctic weather we had. I might even switch up the shoes for a more springy look by wearing some espadrilles! Shooting this outfit was very fun, too because we went to my undergrad campus, which I forgot how beautiful it is.

Coastal Grandmother Aesthetic

  Who else has been loving the  Coastal Grandmother aesthetic trend on TikTok? I've been very engrossed in this trend that is actually not at all trendy and a nod to classic style, which I LOVE. Classic summer style is one of my favorite facets of classic style- linen dresses and pants, sun hats, walks on the beach and lots of rosé. This is literally me. And I consider myself a grandmillennial, so coastal grandmother is not too far off. Tied with Tartan

  Happy Monday, friends! It is December, and that means you can catch me wearing plaid about every day. I wore this dress the other week, and have showed it on my Instagram, but it is still on sale, so I thought this outfit needed its own post! I love all the of the plaids because they just feel so classic and timeless, and I know I will be able to wear them for forever. This new dress caught my eye this year: it is plaid, a shirt dress, AND has ruffles! I was instantly sold, and even more so during their holiday sales.
