What I'm Loving no. 34: January Favorites

I feel like I am back in my blogging grove and I love this feeling! I have tried to stay on top of it during medical school, but it has been so hard to do so (but have been on my socials!). I think the state of social media being in big flux the last couple of months has brought me back to my website as it is something that will always be here and I can always reference it!  January has felt so long but so quick and I'm shocked we are at the end of it. This month, I had my last away rotation of fourth year of medical school then spent the rest of the month home in Minnesota where it has been frigid. My parents bought a new house that they have been renovating, so I have been picking out the design for my room and can't wait to put it all together, but may need some insight from you guys!  January Favorites: 1. Wicked Stanley: I wanted this since it came out last fall. It sold out so fast, and I kept checking the Target website to see if they received any more in stock....

What I'm Loving: 2024 Favorites

I say it is never too late to share my favorites from last year, it is still January! I am realizing that I did not share my favorites from 2023, so I am making sure to get back on track and share them this year. I love to think back about what did I wear the most, reach for the most, hobbies, trends, books I read, anything. Making these are also like a fun little diary for me to look back at to see how or if my interests have changed.  FASHION: -J. Crew Kate Pants: I say this time and time again, but I am really not a big pants girlie. However, I have been reaching for them more often for going to clinic or this hospital, especially if it is a busy day! These pants from J. Crew have been my favorite find. They are SO comfy, perfectly high waisted and so versatile to dress. They often go on sale, too :) -Anjuli Nap Dress: Don't worry, I still love the classic Ellie, but this newish style from HHH is so good! I added a few of them to my closet last year. I love that they a...

What I'm Loving no. 33: Summer Favorites

I cannot believe we are over half way through August. I am always of the endless summer mindset, this season never feels long enough. With studying for boards and starting clinical rotations this summer, it has made this time go by even more quickly. I realize it had been awhile since I have done a round up of my favorites and figured summer favorites would be a fun one to start with again. Enjoy, this is a long one, and happy almost Virgo season :) WHAT I'M LOVING: Kate Pants - I would much rather be in a dress than in pants, but I bought a couple of pairs of these pants to have some more options for clinical rotations. The cut is so flattering and the material has some stretch and makes them pretty comfy. I highly recommend if you are looking for a great pair of work pants or nicer pants/trousers. I think the fit is true to size/slightly big so if you order them maybe order your normal size and one size down to compare. Lady Jacket - These sweater jackets have been something I ...

What I'm Loving: 2022 Favorites

Hello and happy one week into the new year. Every year I like to think through what my favorite things of the year were- what did I wear the most, reach for the most, hobbies I loved, books I read. So enjoy my favorites from 2022 :) FASHION: The Nap Dress : She is an icon and closet staple at this point. I love how versatile the nap dress is and how easily I can style it so many ways. It is also a piece that can be worn all year round with the right accessories like tights and sweaters in the winter! They now make them with pockets which as been incredible. Ily HHH 💙 Natalie Flats : These are my most worn pair of Sarah Flint's. Whenever someone asks me what pair of SF's to start with I always recommend these flats. They have that Sarah Flint comfort and are such a classic style and silhouette that you will wear them forever. I say they run true to size. I have a code for $50 off your first pair of shoes from SF: SARAHFLINT-BALIBBYM.  Clogs:  I think I will be a clog ...

How to Hill House Q+A

Not to be one of those influencers who says " I  got so many questions about ...", but I actually do get quite a few DMs with questions about Hill House Nap Dress sizing, shopping etc. I thought I could write up a big post that would always be live on the blog so anyone could easily reference it! Also this is not sponsored or anything, but maybe one day I can work with my dream brand :) If there is ever a question that is not answered here, please send me a DM and I will answer you and add it to this post! I own and wear a lot of Nap Dresses. I love this brand and love the founder and creator, Nell Diamond. I think she has such an incredible mission of HHH and for the fashion world. I even have their bedding , which was the first product/category HHH ever launched.  What size do you wear in the Ellie? -- I wear a small or x-small in the Ellie . All of my Ellie's are smalls except for one and I will explain why. This spring, HHH did a re-vamp of the Ellie: they made the ...

My Favorite Things as a Medical Student

Grab a cuppa for this post :) I am done with my first year of medical school and about to start my second year. Where has the time and the summer gone! I wanted to share some school favorites that helped me through because starting a health professional school is daunting. Please reach out if you are starting med school, PA school, dental school, NP school, etc. if you have any questions! There is a handful of things that pulled me through the first year. Medical school is hard and finding things to support you and your day to day schedule is so crucial. At least, for me, it has been. Being in med school is a full time job but one where you work 12+ hours a day. These are things that I use every day that have made my life easier or less arduous. I am including a mix of my favorite products and study resources, so here are my tried and true things that have gotten me through year one (if you are just here for the organization and fave products, just ignore the study resources 😋)....

What I'm Loving no. 31

Happy Friday! Back with another favorites post to share what I've been loving, coveting and reading. Hope everyone has a nice relaxing long weekend :)  WHAT I'M LOVING: - Saie Glowy Highlighter Gel - My mom actually impulsed purchased this, and we are now both obsessed! It is this highlighter gel that you can use all over your face as a base for your make-up or use like a regular highlighter. I've been loving using it all over my face as a great base to give a glowy, dewy look. I love that it does not have any sparkles/shimmery things in it because I do not need sparkle in a day to day highlighter. It really makes you look glowy but does not make you feel greasy. - New Nap Dress - The new blue and white nap dress spoke to me on many levels, ahah. It is more beautiful in person! I really love the update features like longer smocking and pockets. I have a small and a x-small in the new, updated nap dress and think the x-small fits better because the smocking is stretchier! ...

What I'm Loving no. 30 + Weekend Sales

Hello, it is Friday, and we have made it to the long weekend! It has been a long week, but hopefully this post brings you some joy. I have a mash-up post today of my favorites plus some weekend sale finds. This weekend is always so crazy with sales, that I never get to them all here, so make sure to check my LTK because I will add some more exclusive posts there! WHAT I'M LOVING: Cover Story // I read this book in about 3.5 days. I absolutely loved it, so it deserves a spot in the favorites from the past couple of weeks. It is definitely a fun summer read with Anna Delvey vibes. So if you loved that show on Netflix, read this one, trust me! Nude Block Sandals // I just got in these in from Sarah Flint, and wow they are the comfiest heel I have ever put on. The cushion and arch support of the sole are really unmatched to any other pair of heels I own. These are going to be great for any warm weather occasion (I made a TikTok styling them a few ways!). You can use my code SARAHFLIN...

Friday Favorites: What I'm Loving no. 29

It has been a minute since I done a favorites post. The last one I wrote was in back in January! I used to write these weekly or monthly, so I am going to try and get back to more regular favorites post. I know I say this a lot, but these kinds of blog posts are my favorite to read, so I really enjoying writing my own because there is so much to discover from each other. Happy Friday, and enjoy friends :) WHAT I'M LOVING: Monogrammed Straw Tote : (tote pictured above) I have been carrying this tote so often since the weather starting to turn warm. It feels like a very chic summer accessory, and I love how it can be personalized with your initials and stripes in the color combo of your choice. It is also from a small women owned business, which we LOVE to support! White Sneakers : It took me so long to get on the Vejas white sneaker train, but I am so glad I finally impulse ordered them. I am not a sneaker girly at heart, but felt like I needed a nice pair of white sneakers ...

My 2021 Favorites + Recap- What I'm Loving no. 28

Well well, we are already 10 days into 2022, it is time to share my top favorites from 2021! I tried to narrow it down to what I think were my absolute 2021 favorites, and a brief recap of the year to celebrate where we have come. Favorites posts are always a favorite to write because I get to share what I have been loving and maybe inspire you to try something new, or try something you have always wanted to try but haven't gotten there yet. This year is definitely ending on an eerie note, but do take time to reflect on what has been good this year, or what you have accomplished. I am also thinking about a top books I read in 2021 if anyone is interested! Hydroflask - This is at the top of the list because I use it every single day! I am constantly sipping on water because I hate the feeling of being even slightly dehydrated. The Hydroflask is amazing because it keeps water so cold, especially if you add ice. I recommend getting the straw lid , too. Nap Dress - I wish it stayed w...

What I'm Loving no. 27

It has been such a long time since I have shared what I'm loving/my current favorites. We're talking months since the last post! I though this would be the perfect time to get back to regular favorites post, as we have come into a new season and I have had lots of change in the past couple of months. This is a fun one with lots of goodies I think you will love too! Always let me know if you try something and love it too! ALSO, I made last years gift guides live again. I do want to do some updated guides for this year, but they take a lot of time, so I need to figure that into my schedule, but I promise something new is coming.  Ballet Mules (gifted) | Similar Coat | Dress (gifted) WHAT I'M LOVING: Jazz in the mornings - Since starting medical school, I have been listening to one of a few jazz playlists on Spotify to start my morning. It always feels soothing, which is good for waking up in the 5am hour. My favorite playlists are called "Sweet Jazz" and ...

What I'm Loving no. 25

Its somehow May, and I missed my favorites post for March! Where is the time actually going? I have combine the past couple of months into one big favorites post! Dress + Roses FAVORITES FROM MARCH + APRIL Nap Dress - I finally got my hands on a blue botanical printed nap dress and it does not disappoint! This is my third nap dress if that tells you anything hah. This one may be sold out or have limited sizes left, but keep checking the site because they often add random stock to some items! Getting Vaccinated! - I now have both doses of vaccines in me! I am so so grateful for science, and to be a part of the scientific community- all my education and degrees are in biology/global health/biomedical science! Its crazy to think about how we all felt one year ago to today. Now that I have both doses, I do have an itch to travel, but do not feel 100% about flying. We'll see about that when we get closer to summer!  More time outside - I am so grateful that we were able to saf...

What I'm Loving no. 23

The first month of 2021 is over. How strange is that! I am back with my favorite post every month: my favorites of the month, and some there things I am loving! 1 // Wicked Good Moccs from L.L. Bean - These are some of the best slippers I have ever owned. I think I wear them almost every day now, and love how warm they keep your feet. I have acquired a few new pairs of boots/slippers, and I reach for these most often. 2 // Lake Pajamas - I wanted these for a while, and am so grateful to have received a pair for Christmas. I did not know I could love a pair of pajamas this much. They are the most luxurious pima cotton ever, and when I wear them I feel like I am sleeping on a cloud, or just melting into the comfiness. I really want to get a shorts set for the warmer months, but really would just like to replace all of my pajamas with Lake sets, hah. If you have not tried Lake yet, I highly recommend them! 3 // Sasha and Christy on YouTube - Omg, these gals are seriously the cutest,...
