  It has been a while since I wrote a life update, and felt like this was the perfect time for another one. It has also been a minute since I last uploaded a blog post, hah. So....I moved and am going to medical school! This past week has been equal parts exciting and nerve wrecking. There was a few long days of orientation, but we did get our white coats which made this transition feel real and official. I have been thinking about how I wanted to decorate my new apartment for a couple of months, and have been saving things I liked so I could eventually share this with you! I really just leaned in to what I love, which immediately meant blue and white everything! I also incorporated my love of wicker/rattan/cane. I am surprised by the random, great finds I have found on Amazon! I have most of these in my new apartment, and a few are on my wishlist like the gingham rug, ice bucket and Hill House Home bedding. Happy November 1!! Aka- the unofficial, official start the holiday season!! I want to start by saying that no one is really going to have a very "traditional" holiday season this year. So with that in mind, I really want to feel the holiday spirit at all times while we spend so much time at home this season. I have put together my holiday decor mood board! I like putting these together so I can better execute my vision for decor. I wanted to share this one because it really sparks joy.  My vision for this holiday is to have a pretty classic decor theme that also incorporates my love of blue and white, and of course, ginger jars. I took all of these images from Pinterest (although a lot of them are from Kelly in the City and Carly !).   I often get questions on my little gallery wall in my NJ apartment room. I decided it would be fun to chat about the pieces, and my vision for decor when I moved into this room a couple of years ago. Some pieces  are things I made myself and such, so I tried to find similar links to some of them. I was not exactly sure what "theme" I was going for when I was ordering things for my new room, but I was very attracted to navy, white, and pink with accents of gold. I remember getting a DM saying that it was looking like original Kate Spade, and thought bingo, thats my "theme." I love love going into Kate Spade stores, even after they rebranded, it still has all of the touches of that classic, preppy, Upper East Side Kate Spade design. I even put on an older Kate Spade dress, and tried to recreate that classic look for these photos 😊.
