Spring Dress Round Up

Transitioning to spring weather is always my least favorite time of year. I never know exactly what to wear: its always freezing in the morning then sizzling by the afternoon! We have actually had a couple of weeks of weather in the 30s and 40s, so I have been mostly reaching for more winter pieces, which does not match the time of year. I think I am trying to manifest warm weather with my round-up of spring dresses today. I just want so desperately to wear a fun, flowy dress and not have to worry about grabbing a big coat or being cold. I would love to pack away my sweater tights and turtlenecks for good.

Dresses are my favorite piece to transition to warmer weather with, and I think we could still have some chilly days ahead so these are my quick tips to layer up your spring frock: a sweater/cardigan that can be easily worn around your shoulders but thrown on if you are chilled, a long dress with longer sleeves is a great option, and wearing a great pair of white sneakers keeps your feet warmer which keeps the whole you warmer!

A Thanksgiving Look

Turtleneck | Skirt | Tights | Boots Thanksgiving is only one week away! I am excited to go home, and spend time with my family and friends. This is a holiday that is HARD to dress for. Happy Monday, friends! It is December, and that means you can catch me wearing plaid about every day. I wore this dress the other week, and have showed it on my Instagram, but it is still on sale, so I thought this outfit needed its own post! What I Packed for Rhode Island

I am SO excited to be back on the East Coast for a bit. Today, we are driving to Rhode Island to spend the long weekend and celebrate my cousin's 30th birthday (thirty, flirting and thriving, right?!). I have only been to Rhode Island on one other occasion, and that was a marching band trip where we marched in the oldest Fourth of July celebration in the country. Thinking back on that, it was a very surreal experience that I am grateful for, and I am even more excited to get to go back to that state and explore as an adult. As soon as I knew we would be going to Rhode Island, I thought about the outfits for the trip. It invoked a sense of the classic East Coast prep style that I already love so much, and so I took that as my packing inspiration!
