What I'm Loving no. 13

Another month come and gone, so here's another round up of what I'm loving! The past month has been pretty uneventful, and that is ok with me! I have just been studying away for the MCAT, so send good vibes for my exam day in April! Enjoy my favorites from February- let me know if you have any questions about anything I list! 😊

Sunday Riley // On of the last Sundays in January, Sephora had a 25% off any skin care product for their VIB members. I went to the store with my mom, and we were not looking for anything in particular, but wanted to try something new. I noticed that Sunday Riley had this set of small sizes of the Luna night oil and CEO Glow serum. I picked out the set, and have been using it every day since! I have noticed a drastic improvement in my skin, and wish I had taken before and afters! The full-sized products are quite the investment, but I may take the plunge because I feel like my skin is looking fantastic!!

OTK Boots // I saw these boots on sale at Nordstrom, and tried them on. At first, I didn't think it was super my style, but as I walked around the shoe department in them, I knew they were it and coming home with me. I have been wearing them every chance I get! They are super comfy, waterproof, and had zero break-in time. Also available here

iPhone 11 Pro // Yep, I am part of the boujee phone club, ahah. It was actually a graduation gift! I finally got rid of the iPhone 7 (before the 7, I had a iPhone 5 for 4 years, so it was really time for a big upgrade.), and traded up. I feel like this phone lives up to the hype. The speed of the phone is amazing, the battery is bigger and better, and omg..the camera!! I hope to have this phone for the long haul. [Side note- I used my phone to take full on blog pictures yesterday, OMG such an amazing camera!!]

Gal Meets Glam February Collection // I do not own anything from this collection, yet. BUT, I cannot stop looking at the lookbook because all of the new pieces are stunning. It makes me so excited for spring or vacation. GMGC also release spring coats!! I love this gingham one, naturally. It is really putting me in the mood to go on a spring vacation!

Vaseline Lip Balm // This is nothing really special. It is just Vaseline, BUT it is in a tube!! The tube makes it so easy and less messy to put on your lips. It is the worst to get all sticky when you have to dip your finger in the pot of Vaseline if you want to hydrate your lips. I really hate being sticky, ahah. When I worked in a clinic alongside a physician, I learned that Vaseline is the best for skin hydration. She would always recommend it to our patients because it is oil/petroleum based rather than water based, and these kind of moisturizers stay on longer for better hydration!

Happy March!

As always,

Coastal Grandmother Aesthetic

Who else has been loving the  Coastal Grandmother aesthetic trend on TikTok? I've been very engrossed in this trend that is actually not at all trendy and a nod to classic style, which I LOVE. Classic summer style is one of my favorite facets of classic style- linen dresses and pants, sun hats, walks on the beach and lots of rosé. This is literally me. And I consider myself a grandmillennial, so coastal grandmother is not too far off. Some may call it coast-grand-millennial ;) ALSO, a couple of weeks ago the Today Show did a segment on the trend, and featured a clip from one of my coastal gran TikToks! These are things you need to create your own coastal grandmother aesthetic, the coastal grandmother starter kit if you will. You probably have most of these things in your closet if you are a fellow classic style lover, like myself. So lets all live our lives as if we lived in a Nancy Meyers movie, and have the best coastal grandmother girl summer. Coast Grandmother Essentials...

What I Packed for Rhode Island

I am SO excited to be back on the East Coast for a bit. Today, we are driving to Rhode Island to spend the long weekend and celebrate my cousin's 30th birthday (thirty, flirting and thriving, right?!). I have only been to Rhode Island on one other occasion, and that was a marching band trip where we marched in the oldest Fourth of July celebration in the country. Thinking back on that, it was a very surreal experience that I am grateful for, and I am even more excited to get to go back to that state and explore as an adult. As soon as I knew we would be going to Rhode Island, I thought about the outfits for the trip. It invoked a sense of the classic East Coast prep style that I already love so much, and so I took that as my packing inspiration! The Kiel James Patrick store/brand is based out of Newport, RI, so I will definitely be visiting and I had to leave room in my suitcase for some new KJP pieces. I haven't had to pack for travel in awhile, so I decided to take a new ap...

New Summer KJP (+ they're having a sale!!)

So today, I got the happiest email from Kiel James Patrick , featuring some super cute new pieces, and that they have a 4th of July sale!! The sale is 20% off any thing with the code America . I would definitely take advantage of this! Here are my favorite new things from KJP. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!! Striped shirt dress // I had all the feels when I saw this dress. First, it is striped AND a shirt dress! Second, it is actually named "Bristol Parade." That is the oldest 4th of July Parade in the country, and I had the privilege of marching in it during my high school marching band trip to New England in 2010 (omg that was 9 years ago?!?). That day it was about 110 degrees, and we wore all black uniforms....if you are familiar with the parade, it is a LONG LONG LONG route, and I somehow, barely survived. So, I think I need this dress for (just about) surviving that day, ahah! Flag sweater  // What a cute little flag sweater! I normally am not one ...
