The Basket Bag Edit

Happy Sunday, friends! I have a fun, short and sweet post for today!

I have had an increasing affinity for basket/straw/wicker bags in the past couple of years. Something about them just says summer, and I am here for that message. I love how they are multi-functioning: a hand bag, a beach bag or for decoration and storage when you are not using them! I only have a couple of them, but love how versatile the bags are. My favorite wicker bag is from J. McLaughlin, but I cannot find it!! I think it is called the Aria, so keep a look out if you are in love with the bag in the picture.

I love all kinds of the basket bag: mini sizes, structured, novelty shapes {like the sea shell below}, and big totes! You can totally find the perfect basket bag on a budget- I have included options for all different budgets 😊. I just love the idea of having a sunhat wall next to floating shelves displaying all of my cute wicker bags, and using big basket totes for pretty storage. One day it will happen! Enjoy these finds!

I know we are not going many places that warrant a cute bag, but sometimes getting fully dressed with shoes, bag and all really makes me feel happy!

Coastal Grandmother Aesthetic

Who else has been loving the Coastal Grandmother aesthetic trend on TikTok? I've been very engrossed in this trend that is actually not at all trendy and a nod to classic style, which I LOVE. Classic summer style is one of my favorite facets of classic style- linen dresses and pants, sun hats, walks on the beach and lots of rosé. This is literally me. And I consider myself a grandmillennial, so coastal grandmother is not too far off. Happy Monday, friends! It is December, and that means you can catch me wearing plaid about every day. I wore this dress the other week, and have showed it on my Instagram, but it is still on sale, so I thought this outfit needed its own post! I love all the of the plaids because they just feel so classic and timeless, and I know I will be able to wear them for forever. This new dress caught my eye this year: it is plaid, a shirt dress, AND has ruffles! I was instantly sold, and even more so during their holiday sales.
