Stocking Stuffers

I hope everyone had a nice Turkey Day. Mine was just my family, and it was actually so nice to spend the holiday with a group of 3 so we could actually chat and relax, and not have to worry about entertaining a big group. BUT, it is finally dedicated Christmas/holiday time, and it makes me heart so warm (yes that is cheesy, but it is how I feel).

Does anyone else LOVE stockings and stocking stuffers as much as I do?? My mom is always the one to get things for the stockings, and it is the first thing we do on Christmas morning. I asked you guys on Instagram what your favorite kinds of stocking stuffers are, and I made sure to include here because I love them too! One thing I want to add is a donation to a charity in the person's name. I thought that was the kindest stuffer I have ever heard, and really want to do that this year. I have a few charities/non-profits that are near to me, but what are yours?

GINGER JAR POUCH | HAIR BOW | MONOGRAMMED POUCH | PHONECASE

BOW NOTEPAD | GINGHAM MASK + HAND SANITIZER | THERMAL SOCKS

SILK SCRUNCHIES | PEPPERMINT BARK | SHEET MASK

BELLINI GUMMIES | FRESH FACE WASH+LIP BALM | MASK CHAIN

GINGER JAR POUCH: I think this little pouch is adorable, and perfect for a small stocking stuffer. You could even load it with chocolates or mini candy canes before you put it in the stocking! (Or masks for 2020..)

HAIR BOW: My friend Sarah started the cutest Etsy shop with these velvet hair bows! She gave me a 15% off code to share with you too: LIBBYLOVESPEARLS (it just can't be combined with other offers!). I always love getting hair accessories in my stocking, and these are just darling!

2020 ThingsGINGHAM MASK + HAND SANITIZER + MASK CHAIN- These are probably the most practical things here, but definitely necessary, so might as well give them as pretty gifts!

Skin CareFRESH FACE WASH+LIP BALM + SHEET MASK- I love the little gift sets at Sephora, and this one of my favorite face wash and their lip balm is so perfect for a stocking. A sheet mask is another great addition because it is kind of like a treat for you skin.

SILK SCRUNCHIES: My mom and I LOVE these scrunchies! No other silk scrunchie compares to these, and we've tried some duds. These may seem a little extravagant for a stocking, but everyone will love them. They are at the top of my stocking list because our 7-month-old puppy decided to chew up one of mine the other night...

MONOGRAMMED POUCH: I am pretty sure this one is on sale at Mark and Graham! This can hold a little of everything like your phone, headphones, a mask and a few cards. Just want someone needs when they run to the grocery store these days.

PHONECASE: I never seem to switch up my phone cases. I always look at cuter ones, and think I should order that but I just never do, so I feel like it is a cute little stocking stuffer. This one with a bow on it is just darling!

BOW NOTEPAD: Stationary is always a great gift, in my opinion. And again, this has that cute bow on it!! This is definitely for the list maker in your life, haha.

Sweet Treats: Did you even Christmas if you didn't have PEPPERMINT BARK from William Sonoma?! I love these little squares so you are not tempted to eat the whole giant tin of the peppermint bark, ahha. These BELLINI GUMMIES from Sugarfina are always a festive treat too!

As always,

Coastal Grandmother Aesthetic

Who else has been loving the  Coastal Grandmother aesthetic trend on TikTok? I've been very engrossed in this trend that is actually not at all trendy and a nod to classic style, which I LOVE. Classic summer style is one of my favorite facets of classic style- linen dresses and pants, sun hats, walks on the beach and lots of rosé. This is literally me. And I consider myself a grandmillennial, so coastal grandmother is not too far off. Some may call it coast-grand-millennial ;) ALSO, a couple of weeks ago the Today Show did a segment on the trend, and featured a clip from one of my coastal gran TikToks! These are things you need to create your own coastal grandmother aesthetic, the coastal grandmother starter kit if you will. You probably have most of these things in your closet if you are a fellow classic style lover, like myself. So lets all live our lives as if we lived in a Nancy Meyers movie, and have the best coastal grandmother girl summer. Coast Grandmother Essentials...

What I Packed for Rhode Island

I am SO excited to be back on the East Coast for a bit. Today, we are driving to Rhode Island to spend the long weekend and celebrate my cousin's 30th birthday (thirty, flirting and thriving, right?!). I have only been to Rhode Island on one other occasion, and that was a marching band trip where we marched in the oldest Fourth of July celebration in the country. Thinking back on that, it was a very surreal experience that I am grateful for, and I am even more excited to get to go back to that state and explore as an adult. As soon as I knew we would be going to Rhode Island, I thought about the outfits for the trip. It invoked a sense of the classic East Coast prep style that I already love so much, and so I took that as my packing inspiration! The Kiel James Patrick store/brand is based out of Newport, RI, so I will definitely be visiting and I had to leave room in my suitcase for some new KJP pieces. I haven't had to pack for travel in awhile, so I decided to take a new ap...

New Summer KJP (+ they're having a sale!!)

So today, I got the happiest email from Kiel James Patrick , featuring some super cute new pieces, and that they have a 4th of July sale!! The sale is 20% off any thing with the code America . I would definitely take advantage of this! Here are my favorite new things from KJP. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!! Striped shirt dress // I had all the feels when I saw this dress. First, it is striped AND a shirt dress! Second, it is actually named "Bristol Parade." That is the oldest 4th of July Parade in the country, and I had the privilege of marching in it during my high school marching band trip to New England in 2010 (omg that was 9 years ago?!?). That day it was about 110 degrees, and we wore all black uniforms....if you are familiar with the parade, it is a LONG LONG LONG route, and I somehow, barely survived. So, I think I need this dress for (just about) surviving that day, ahah! Flag sweater  // What a cute little flag sweater! I normally am not one ...
