Must Haves for Summer

It feels like I am jumping ahead and sharing summer things, but summer is my favorite season! I always feel like the warm weather months are super short, so I am trying to extend my favorite season by sharing summer content early. I guess it gives you time to round out your summer wardrobe before the season officially starts! Ironically enough, I will be sharing my spring bucket list soon, so look out for that one.

-Striped Boatneck Tee // This is a casual classic that I reach for all summer long! I sometimes can dress it up with a nicer pair of linen pants or navy skirt and espadrilles! I also love this one, too!

-White Jeans // Another warm weather classic. White jeans are just so easy to create a cute look, especially on chillier evenings.

-Pearl Straw Bag // A straw bag of some sorts is so summer, and I have been lusting over this pearl embellished bag for a while! I love that its from a small women owned business based in NYC, too.

-Bamboo Wicker Bag // Yes, I included two wicker/straw bags because I love them that much and feel everyone needs this classic staple in their wardrobe! I love the structure on this one, and it is very similar to the one I own with the bamboo handle.

-Bow Earrings // An easy way to dress up a summer look, and the white goes with everything.

-Gingham Bikini Top + Bottoms // I think a gingham suit is timeless, and you will have it for a long time! The ruffle detail on this one is too die for, as well. I love a high waisted suit because I think it is flattering on any body!

-White Sandals (use code SARAHFLINT-BALIBBYM for $50 off!) // If I am not wearing espadrilles, I am wearing some kind of white, flat sandals. The lace up detail on these feels so feminine, just like an espadrille. I also love these white bow slides, too (you can also use the same discount code for this pair!).

-Sunhat // The ultimate piece for form and function. Protect your skin from the sun and look cute while doing so!

-White Sundress // The styling opportunities are really endless with a piece like this white sundress. This particular one is currently in my cart, and I believe is still on sale!

-Blue and White Midi Dress // I basically live in longer dresses and skirt in the summer because they are so comfortable, airy and stylish! Pair with your espadrilles for a dressier look. I especially wear a lot of this blue and white patterned/color-way of dresses!

-Linen Button-up // This is such a versatile piece in your summer wardrobe. You can wear it with white jeans, a skirt, over your swimsuit, tied at the waist over a dress or with a higher waisted bottom. And linen is a breathable fabric. It is really a staple piece.

-Espadrilles // The pièce de résistance of my spring and summer wardrobe. I think if you were to pick one thing from this list, it should be espadrilles. They are chic, comfy and will serve you for years to come. Its probably pretty obvious by now that I LOVE these shoes!!

As always,

Coastal Grandmother Aesthetic

Who else has been loving the  Coastal Grandmother aesthetic trend on TikTok? I've been very engrossed in this trend that is actually not at all trendy and a nod to classic style, which I LOVE. Classic summer style is one of my favorite facets of classic style- linen dresses and pants, sun hats, walks on the beach and lots of rosé. This is literally me. And I consider myself a grandmillennial, so coastal grandmother is not too far off. Some may call it coast-grand-millennial ;) ALSO, a couple of weeks ago the Today Show did a segment on the trend, and featured a clip from one of my coastal gran TikToks! These are things you need to create your own coastal grandmother aesthetic, the coastal grandmother starter kit if you will. You probably have most of these things in your closet if you are a fellow classic style lover, like myself. So lets all live our lives as if we lived in a Nancy Meyers movie, and have the best coastal grandmother girl summer. Coast Grandmother Essentials...

What I Packed for Rhode Island

I am SO excited to be back on the East Coast for a bit. Today, we are driving to Rhode Island to spend the long weekend and celebrate my cousin's 30th birthday (thirty, flirting and thriving, right?!). I have only been to Rhode Island on one other occasion, and that was a marching band trip where we marched in the oldest Fourth of July celebration in the country. Thinking back on that, it was a very surreal experience that I am grateful for, and I am even more excited to get to go back to that state and explore as an adult. As soon as I knew we would be going to Rhode Island, I thought about the outfits for the trip. It invoked a sense of the classic East Coast prep style that I already love so much, and so I took that as my packing inspiration! The Kiel James Patrick store/brand is based out of Newport, RI, so I will definitely be visiting and I had to leave room in my suitcase for some new KJP pieces. I haven't had to pack for travel in awhile, so I decided to take a new ap...

New Summer KJP (+ they're having a sale!!)

So today, I got the happiest email from Kiel James Patrick , featuring some super cute new pieces, and that they have a 4th of July sale!! The sale is 20% off any thing with the code America . I would definitely take advantage of this! Here are my favorite new things from KJP. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!! Striped shirt dress // I had all the feels when I saw this dress. First, it is striped AND a shirt dress! Second, it is actually named "Bristol Parade." That is the oldest 4th of July Parade in the country, and I had the privilege of marching in it during my high school marching band trip to New England in 2010 (omg that was 9 years ago?!?). That day it was about 110 degrees, and we wore all black uniforms....if you are familiar with the parade, it is a LONG LONG LONG route, and I somehow, barely survived. So, I think I need this dress for (just about) surviving that day, ahah! Flag sweater  // What a cute little flag sweater! I normally am not one ...
