Weekend Finds- Memorial Day Sales Edition

Welcome to my new blog series! I will have a blog post every (most!) Saturdays with what I have been eyeing to shop, or what I have recently purchased. *This one is going up on Friday because of all the great Memorial Day sales* I am not quite sure on the name for this series, so do not be surprised it if changes a bit, aha. I am also going to include a little weekly catch up to start these posts. I might have themes each like long dresses, beach vacation, etc., but this week will be a round up of a bunch of MEMORIAL DAY SALES I have been eyeing! I did not include every sale I have seen because that would be a lot, so I picked places I already shop at and love! If something more catches my eye, I will update this post. I will also be posting lots of content to my Liketoknow.it. Lets start with the weekly catch-up:

This week, has been pretty laid back. My godlendoodle, Poppy, had to have an infected nail cut pretty short last week, and this week she got the ok to leave it bandage free, and start to go back to her normal activities. This was a big relief because girlfriend has a lot of energy, and keeping her calm was starting to be a struggle. Of course, in the first hour bandage free, she gets the zoomies and her nail starts to bleed...this is going to be a very interesting next week or two! I have no plans for this weekend except maybe some shopping, and maybe some drinks and apps out if my friends want to (hint, hint ladies)!

A Thanksgiving Look

Turtleneck  |   Skirt  |   Tights  |   Boots Thanksgiving is only one week away! I am excited to go home, and spend time with my family and friends. This is a holiday that is HARD to dress for. On one hand, you want to wear joggers and a big sweater because of all of the yummy food and treats. On the other hand, you want to dress up, or slightly dress up while still feeling comfy. Hence, the big dressing dilemma: how to create the right look for your kind of holiday? I like to dress it up a little , without wearing a cocktail outfit or gown, haha. I created this look for a dressy, casual look. It is an easy outfit to put together, and I bet you have some similar pieces in your closet! A turtleneck, plaid skirt and tights is such a classic fall look that is also great for this holiday. It is kind of an easy dressing equation too because it is so easy to mix and match what you have in your closet, or buy one new piece that you know will go with an...

Tied with Tartan

Happy Monday, friends! It is December, and that means you can catch me wearing plaid about every day. I wore this dress the other week, and have showed it on my Instagram, but it is still on sale, so I thought this outfit needed its own post! Dress | Shoes c/o (use libby10 for 10% off at Margaux ) | Headband J. Crew always puts out some of the best holiday pieces, in my opinion. I love all the of the plaids because they just feel so classic and timeless, and I know I will be able to wear them for forever. This new dress caught my eye this year: it is plaid, a shirt dress, AND has ruffles! I was instantly sold, and even more so during their holiday sales. And, it is still on sale- its 50% off with an extra 20% off with code FESTIVE! I am wearing a size small, and it is not too short on me. I do think, as with all J. Crew, that it runs a tad big, so you could definitely size down (I miraculously could have fit into a xs). It doesn't button all the way down, which I think is a ...

What I Packed for Rhode Island

I am SO excited to be back on the East Coast for a bit. Today, we are driving to Rhode Island to spend the long weekend and celebrate my cousin's 30th birthday (thirty, flirting and thriving, right?!). I have only been to Rhode Island on one other occasion, and that was a marching band trip where we marched in the oldest Fourth of July celebration in the country. Thinking back on that, it was a very surreal experience that I am grateful for, and I am even more excited to get to go back to that state and explore as an adult. As soon as I knew we would be going to Rhode Island, I thought about the outfits for the trip. It invoked a sense of the classic East Coast prep style that I already love so much, and so I took that as my packing inspiration! The Kiel James Patrick store/brand is based out of Newport, RI, so I will definitely be visiting and I had to leave room in my suitcase for some new KJP pieces. I haven't had to pack for travel in awhile, so I decided to take a new ap...
