My Gallery Wall

I often get questions on my little gallery wall in my NJ apartment room. I decided it would be fun to chat about the pieces, and my vision for decor when I moved into this room a couple of years ago. Some pieces  are things I made myself and such, so I tried to find similar links to some of them. I was not exactly sure what "theme" I was going for when I was ordering things for my new room, but I was very attracted to navy, white, and pink with accents of gold. I remember getting a DM saying that it was looking like original Kate Spade, and thought bingo, thats my "theme." I love love going into Kate Spade stores, even after they rebranded, it still has all of the touches of that classic, preppy, Upper East Side Kate Spade design. I even put on an older Kate Spade dress, and tried to recreate that classic look for these photos 😊. Pretty much everything in my room is navy and white (with some pinks and gold)- bedding, desk, shelves, storage cart, etc. I have this ...

Gift Guides are Here!!

Happy Monday! I finished these up over the weekend because I wanted to get my 2020 Gift Guides out to you sooner than later! In the gift guide, I explain why I launched these in October, but the abridged version is that everyone will be online shopping for the holidays this year, and this enormous influx of shoppers will cause things to sell out fast, and take longer for companies to ship! I also wanted to do it earlier because I am definitely feeling the holiday spirit! CLICK HERE FOR THE GIFT GUIDES! This years gifts were definitely centered on how to elevate our more homebound lives. Lots of cozy, lots of self care, but of course with a bit of glam because I feel so much more like myself when I get up and ready for the day! My core guides are: for her , for him , at home , beauty/health , and gifts under $50 . They will always live on that page in the header of the blog! I do plan to put together a few more guides for the normal blog feed, so keep your eyes out for that one,...

Finger Lakes Travel Guide

Finger Lakes, NY Travel Guide This was my first time to the Finger Lakes in New York. And, it has been the only "vacation" I have been on in 2020. I had a blast!!! Here is my postcards post with some gorgeous snaps of the trip. And here is what I packed for the trip. I asked on Instagram if anyone had any questions about the Finger Lakes, and have done my best to answer them within the post! Here is my guide and recommendations for the Finger Lakes!! When to Go:  I would highly recommend going during the fall when it is closer to, or at peak leaf season. The colors were absolutely gorgeous! I did learn that the Indigenous Peoples Day Weekend in October (when we were there) tends to be the busiest weekend of the year because of the fall colors and long weekend, which was apparent on Saturday and Sunday. I would love to come back in the summer for water activities and vineyard tours too. Where We Stayed: We stayed in this Airbnb . It is a refurbished church, and is beautifu...

Seeing Spots

Every year, I eye up all things leopard print. It feels like the perfect neutral that goes with anything. I have always loved these Margaux classic leopard flats , and it would be such a fun way to spruce up your look. I have no moved into loving a skirt or dress number, too! Especially for a skirt, you could be party on the bottom and business on top for your Zoom meetings! (I am not saying you can't wear leopard "to" work, but I feel like the pattern would look a bit too busy for the low quality cameras on our computers 😂.) Here is my quick, fun round-up of all things spotted! Also- don't forget my Margaux code LIBBY10 for 10% off your own pair of shoes! JavaScript is currently disabled in this browser. Stars Hollow Style

Just around the corner from where our Finger Lakes Airbnb was  the cutest main street of the town. It was lined with older homes of Victorian architecture, and lots of colorful trees. It really felt like Stars Hollow in Gilmore Girls. I was just missing some coffee from Luke's and the Gazebo. Blazer   |   Skirt   |   Turtleneck  |   OTK Boots  {try and use code ACTFAST for 10% off!} (also  here ) Just look at those colors!! I reallllly want to share and talk about this blazer . It is an adorable plaid check blazer that's perfect for fall. The best part about it is that it is wool free, and is only $32! I do not often shop for clothes at Target , but when I saw this blazer, I knew it would be a winner. I also feel like grown-up Rory in A Year in the Life would totally wear this outfit or something incredible similar! These OTK boots are another piece in my cool weather wardrobe and are something that would not be comple...

Postcards from the Finger Lakes

We took an extra long weekend last week, and drove up to the Finger Lakes in Upstate NY. I had never been there before, but wow was it beautiful. We spent our days there hiking in the mornings, and checking out wineries in the afternoon. It was a great time, and we picked the perfect time to go because the fall colors were gorgeous, and it hadn't gotten too chilly to sit outside and enjoy a glass of wine. Here are some snapshots from the fun little road trip! Lots of pictures ahead! We stayed at this funky little refurbished church Airbnb . It was actually a pretty cool place to stay because it had a lot of history, and was beautifully redone. Look at those original floors! The location is pretty good too because it is between Keuka and Seneca lakes- so good access to a lot of wineries, haha.  On our first full day, we spent the morning hiking the Keuka Outlet Trail . The trail is lined with trees and the colors were just incredible. This trail is also has water falls in bot...
