What I'm Loving no. 21

As usual, I am going to start with my broken record "I can't believe its already [insert month here]." But, is it actually November?!?!?? I am excited, and already decorating and planning for the Holiday season? Absolutely!! October was a pretty fun month, and I made sure to fill it with all of the pumpkin things. We even took a fall road trip to the Finger Lakes, and it was incredibly beautiful this time of year. I have a really mixed bag of monthly favorites, so enjoy haha!! I hope this is another great distraction from the week we have had.

1. Pumpkin Candle- This is one of my favorite pumpkin scented candles I have found. I love that it is not too sweet, and not too over bearing or spicy. It is the perfect amount of warm, cozy pumpkin feeling. I think it is a good scent that you could burn through the holiday season because it is a warm scent that reminds of fall through Thanksgiving to Christmas baking!

2. Pumpkin O's (or cheerios)- I do not eat cereal often, but always buy a box when I am craving it. Last month, I bought pumpkin cereal and OMG so so tasty! I technically have the Cheerios version because the Trader Joe's version was sold out when I went to the store, but they are just as tasty. My friend Cara (@always_cara) told me to it with oatmilk, and she was right- it was the best combo. I did try it with almond milk, and the almond milk took away from the pumpkin flavor.

3. Margaux Demi Flats- I feel like I talk about these shoes all the time, but I love these flats. I also LOVE that I get to be an ambassador for this amazing company. The flats, and all of their shoes, are so comfy and the souls are memory foam! Cute and comfy at its finest! Here's my 10% off discount code for you guys to use: libby10.

4. New lululemon leggings- I normally stick to an Align or Wunder Under leggings, but wow I really like this style and fabric. I have been wearing for a couple of workouts every week, and love that they have pockets, sit higher on the waist, and are equal parts compressive/stretchy/comfy! I really recommend these if you are a gal with a smaller waist than hips because the fit is perfect!

5. Mini-Uggs- I have had these since 2008, I think. Since last winter, they have become my wear around the house slippers. They are definitely boots that you can wear out and about, and I do this, but my feet are always cold, so the mini Uggs versus the Ugg slippers covers all of the your foot and ankle. I am going to ask for another pair for Christmas because I wear them that much, and mine are actually that old, haha.

Some More Things:

1. I launched my 2020 Holiday Gift Guide. (You can always find it at the top of my blog!) Here is my Small Business Gift Guide

2. Random, but I recently started to love oat milk!

3. I finished American Royals and started the sequel Majesty! Loving it so far.

4. This Mexican Quinoa Stew has been the perfect cozy night dinner.

5. I am having such heart eyes for this tartan dress from Tuckernuck.

6. I bought these black jeans!

7. My Finger Lakes Travel Guide is up!

As always,

Coastal Grandmother Aesthetic

Who else has been loving the  Coastal Grandmother aesthetic trend on TikTok? I've been very engrossed in this trend that is actually not at all trendy and a nod to classic style, which I LOVE. Classic summer style is one of my favorite facets of classic style- linen dresses and pants, sun hats, walks on the beach and lots of rosé. This is literally me. And I consider myself a grandmillennial, so coastal grandmother is not too far off. Some may call it coast-grand-millennial ;) ALSO, a couple of weeks ago the Today Show did a segment on the trend, and featured a clip from one of my coastal gran TikToks! These are things you need to create your own coastal grandmother aesthetic, the coastal grandmother starter kit if you will. You probably have most of these things in your closet if you are a fellow classic style lover, like myself. So lets all live our lives as if we lived in a Nancy Meyers movie, and have the best coastal grandmother girl summer. Coast Grandmother Essentials...

What I Packed for Rhode Island

I am SO excited to be back on the East Coast for a bit. Today, we are driving to Rhode Island to spend the long weekend and celebrate my cousin's 30th birthday (thirty, flirting and thriving, right?!). I have only been to Rhode Island on one other occasion, and that was a marching band trip where we marched in the oldest Fourth of July celebration in the country. Thinking back on that, it was a very surreal experience that I am grateful for, and I am even more excited to get to go back to that state and explore as an adult. As soon as I knew we would be going to Rhode Island, I thought about the outfits for the trip. It invoked a sense of the classic East Coast prep style that I already love so much, and so I took that as my packing inspiration! The Kiel James Patrick store/brand is based out of Newport, RI, so I will definitely be visiting and I had to leave room in my suitcase for some new KJP pieces. I haven't had to pack for travel in awhile, so I decided to take a new ap...

New Summer KJP (+ they're having a sale!!)

So today, I got the happiest email from Kiel James Patrick , featuring some super cute new pieces, and that they have a 4th of July sale!! The sale is 20% off any thing with the code America . I would definitely take advantage of this! Here are my favorite new things from KJP. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!! Striped shirt dress // I had all the feels when I saw this dress. First, it is striped AND a shirt dress! Second, it is actually named "Bristol Parade." That is the oldest 4th of July Parade in the country, and I had the privilege of marching in it during my high school marching band trip to New England in 2010 (omg that was 9 years ago?!?). That day it was about 110 degrees, and we wore all black uniforms....if you are familiar with the parade, it is a LONG LONG LONG route, and I somehow, barely survived. So, I think I need this dress for (just about) surviving that day, ahah! Flag sweater  // What a cute little flag sweater! I normally am not one ...
