What to get at the Sephora Sale

The Sephora Sale starts today! I always love this sale because I use it to stock up on my favorite products and treat myself to some new goodies to try. It is also great to do a bit of holiday shopping early! Below, I have all of my picks for the sale but just want to highlight a handful of my favorites that have been in my routine for a while now: - Paula's Choice Toner: I tried a lot of toners before this one and have repurchased this one so many times now. I think it has made a huge difference in my skin- less breakouts/texture and clearer, smaller pores. I use it as part of my night time routine and can't recommend it enough! - Dyson AirWrap : I think this is 100% worth it. It is the only hair tool I use now. I love how it makes your hair look like you got a professional blowout every time! I think I use it almost every day so the cost per use has basically paid for itself now. The Sephora Sale is one of the best times to try it! - Moroccan Oil Dry Shampoo : This is my...

SPRING SEPHORA SALE

The spring Sephora sales starts tomorrow for Rouge members! I am re-sharing this post I wrote last year because my favorites and recommendations have not changed much. I have added some of my favorite new products like this mascara and this eyebrow product to the shopping widget below, but otherwise I still stand by these recommendations. Remember than the sale starts on different dates for the different levels of rewards members. My advice is to shop as soon as you can if you have some specific things on your list, incase things sell out! I will hopefully stocking up on my favorites and products I use everyday. Happy sale-ing! SKINCARE: Fresh Soy Face Cleanser - This has been my only face wash for the past several years. I love it! It is gentle but cleansing if that makes sense..it leaves your face clean without feeling like you stripped it of natural oils or used a harsh chemical. I always recommend this one to friends who need a better cleanser! Sunday Riley Luna Night Oil -...

Spring Sephora Sale

The spring sale at Sephora starts tomorrow, so today I have a big post with favorites and picks from Sephora. I have broken it into sections with skincare, hair and makeup, and highlighted my top picks from each section. Below, I have included many more picks from each section that I love and didn't quite make my top favorites, cult favorites and things I want to try! *The sale starts tomorrow for Rouge members with 20% off, then VIB's can shop on 4/13 with15% off, and Insiders can shop on 4/15 with 10% off!* SKINCARE: Fresh Soy Face Cleanser - This has been my only face wash for the past several years. I love it! It is gentle but cleansing if that makes sense..it leaves your face clean without feeling like you stripped it of natural oils or used a harsh chemical. I always recommend this one to friends who need a better cleanser! Sunday Riley Luna Night Oil - I have repurchased this several times! It is a night oil with retinol that is pretty gentle, in my opinion. I always n...

Mini Glossier Review

I am not a beauty guru, haha. But, I do like make-up and skin care things, and love trying new to me brands. Way back in the beginning of March, I popped into the city to visit the Glossier Flagship store. I had been eyeing some things I wanted to try, but didn't want to order online for my first go. [For the record, what finally sucked me into the Glossier world was the constant Instagram ads I was getting 😂!] Ok, first off, the flagship store is SO aesthetically pleasing, no wonder all the trendy IG gals flock there. I knew I really wanted to try the Boy Brow, but had no clue what shade to get, same for the Cloud Paint. After testing them and chatting with one of the showroom girls, I went for this set - it has Boy Brow, Cloud Paint, and the Lash Slick (mascara) for a bundled price! I really recommend the sets if you are new to the brand! I have been reaching for these three products most during quarantine. Wearing them makes me feel more like myself, and put together, an...

My Hair MVP's

BTW my hair is more blonde now! Sooo I actually have been getting a lot of questions about my hair, which makes me kind of laugh because I did not understand how to take care of hair for a long time. I think I started to figure out a hair routine that works for me about 2-ish years ago. At that time, I realized that I could not get up at 5am everyday to wash my hair before work. (also because this is not the greatest for your hair, ahah) I decided that I needed to revise my hair game plan, and this is what it has molded into over the past few years! Here is my general routine- I do not strictly follow this, but this I try to stick to a schedule around this: 1. Washing my hair ever 2-3 days. I really cannot stretch it out must past this because my scalp gets SO oily, and workouts make it way harder to control the oil. I do sometimes schedule workouts around hair washing, lol, yeah I said it.  2. Using dry shampoo before going to bed. I feel like this was the best...

A week of natural deodorant

Shop a similar dress Hello! A few weeks ago, I started using a natural deodorant. At first, I was somewhat skeptical of this because it seemed like a big trendy fad that would die out. However, (this maybe be a TMI, but a funny one?) I have had chronically itchy arm pits (😂). I am not sure when it started, but the years of itchiness are very memorable, ahah. It had recently been suggested to me (by a healthcare provider) that I should try a natural deodorant. She didn't recommend any brand over another, but said it could be worth trying. I am still working on my own research on the risks/benefits/harms, etc. of all deodorants, so I have no conclusions on what the literature says on "natural" vs. "un-natural" deodorants, but I wanted to share my experience so far of using a natural one. I knew some brands that had a natural deodorant, and read things about all of them. When I was at Whole Foods the other week, I thought maybe they would have something...
