Updated Minnesota Favorites

I never thought I would move back to Minnesota long term, but I am kind of glad I did because I have been able to go to all my favorite places, and find some new favorites. You may remember that I posted a couple of Minnesota favorites posts about 2 years ago: Minneapolis Favorites and St. Paul Favorites . I definitely still love all those places! I have also added some new favorites that I wanted to share in a new post. And yes, some of these are repeats from the other two posts, but I just love them that much! I have split it up into eats/drinks and places so you can easily find what you are looking for! EATS + DRINKS: Hola Arepa // Still one of my favorite places with yummy cocktails and a totally GF menu! I always get the arepitas and empanadas! MN Nice Cream // I love their fun flavors of soft serve, and all the outrageous toppings! Their shop in NE Minneapolis is very cute and IG worthy too ahah. Cov Wayzata // This is becoming my favorite lakeside place! It is in downt...

Lake Life

Here it is! My edition of #PreppyGirlSummer (remember Preppy Girl Fall !). I love this so much because I was able to shoot it in my favorite lake spot in Minnesota. AND, I found this amazing sweater from Minnetucket + Golden Girl Travel by Ellsworth and Ivey ! I grew by lakes, and I think this is why I love being by the water. I took these (safely) at my favorite lake town on Lake Minnetonka (like the sweater!). I love a good white jean for summer, and these are currently are a great deal at Nordstrom Rack! I love the raw hem and button fly. These with Jacks and my new favorite sweater felt like the perfect summer night by the lake outfit. Dog is not included, ahaha. She loves the water just as much as I do. A quick note for my Minnesota gals, or anyone,  interested in this sweater: the Minnetucket shop is closed right now because Molly, the shop owner, is out of town; it will be open again on August 9!! Lilly Love

The other day I wore this Lilly Pulitzer shirt dress . I got sooo many questions and comments about the dress, so I am featuring it on here (it was also fabulous to take some pics during MN golden hour)! I actually think this dress came out last fall sometime, but I have still had my eye on it. The last time I was home, I found it in my favorite store that carries Lilly Pulitzer called Melly . I was so so excited that they still had a few sizes, and I had to have it! The dress is a midi length. I am 5'9", and it hits perfectly between the knee and ankle. It is a nice cotton material with stretch, which I love. I think it runs true to size; usually wear a small or 4-6 in Lilly, and this dress is a 4. Because of the stretch, this dress is so so comfy, and you could size down in it depending on how you like it fitted (still think it is pretty TTS). Because the dress is from a couple seasons back, it can be hard to find. It is still available on the Lilly Pulitzer w...

Favorite Spots: Minneapolis, MN

Another edition of my Favorite Spots here. This time, we are talking Minneapolis, MN. The other twin of the Twin Cities! Just like its twin, Minneapolis has so many amazing spots that it is hard to narrow down my favorites. BUT, I think I did a good job, and rounded up some of the best places in this city. Again, the Twin Cities are a very foodie, active, artsy pair of cities, and my favorite places definitely fall under those categories. So I have switched things up, and organized my Minneapolis faves just like that! I have several favorites in Minneapolis, but I have never lived on that side of the river, so I know my favorites barely scratch the surface on what this Twin City has to offer! Favorite Eat + Drink Betty Danger's Country Club - I think I have professed my love for BD a few times already on PWP. It is seriously my most favorite place ever! You must go to ride the Ferris wheel, and play mini golf! Longfellow Grill - A great spot by the river, closer to St...

Your Perfect Staycation Itinerary!

Sometimes a staycation is the better way to relax, and unwind. There is less stress, less planning, and virtually no travel! It does not sound as chic as a real vacation, but lets be real, you will probably be better rested, and feel more comfortable during a staycation than a real vacation. To me, that sounds like the chicest way to "travel!" It also gives you an excuse to do things in your city that you have always wanted to do, but do not have the time for. Today, I have put together a chic, relaxing, and fun staycation itinerary. I guarantee that a fabulous staycation is exactly what you needed! -- I am currently home in Minnesota, so the natural first stop on our staycation is to visit one of the 10,000 lakes here. A pool/ocean works if a lake is not your thing! For this, you will definitely need a great beach bag will all of the essentials, including a nice lightweight towel that is perfect for a comfortable time in the sun. Like this one  (I have the blue, and ...

Summer Nights

Did you really summer if you didn't wear a white dress, and some espadrilles? 😊 Summer nights are my favorite of the entire year. The nights seems to last longer because there is more hours of day light. The sunsets are so beautiful during the summer, too. On my ideal summer night, it is still so warm outside, so you do not even need to bring a sweater for later. I have always love the look of a clean white dress on a summer evening. It feels classic, put together, and well summer-y! Dress  |   Shoes  |   Similar bag As always, #dontforgetyourpearls

Favorite Spots: St. Paul, MN

I have been thinking about Minnesota lately, and felt like reminiscing on some of my favorite spots in St. Paul, MN. Most people hear a city in Minnesota, and think Minneapolis. Although I love the treasures of Minneapolis, I went to college in St. Paul (Roll Toms 😊💜), and lived there for 6 years, so it has a special place in my heart. First off, lets get familiar with this city. St. Paul is the state capitol of MN!! It is NOT Minneapolis as so many people think! It is the older of the Twin Cities, and I think has more charm. Its divided into neighborhoods like any other city, and some of the best spots, are little neighborhood gems. The Twin Cities are both equally "Foodie" places, and we love some craft breweries/distilleries, and good eats!! Grandview Theatre pictured above! Used to walk there during college just to get popcorn! Merriam Park University of St. Thomas - my alma matter! (I surprisingly do not have any good pics of UST..) Izzie's Ice Cre...
