NORDSTROM SALE PICKS

I did not mean for a 6+ month blog hiatus to happen, but school and being on rotations really ate up most of my attention this winter and spring! But, I am back and now a fourth year medical student with (I hope), a little more flexibility in her schedule this year! It is that time of year again, so thought I would share my picks for this year's Nordstrom Sale. I know so many people will be putting out content of their sale picks and it can get overwhelming so here are my two cents: you do not need anything, I always take this time of year to grab essentials that I use almost every day because they do not go on sale often. A couple of things I like to pick up during the sale are my favorite bra, sunscreen and maybe a pair of sneakers. This year my favorite pair of sneakers are actually part of the sale so I hope I can snag these!  I think other pieces that are worth shopping the sale for are things like jackets that rarely go on sale like Barbour-I have one and it is a close...

One of my favorite sales of the year is here: the Hill House Home annual sale! Everything is currently 30% off- even the new holiday and home collections! I shared some of my favorite HHH outfits from the year as some inspiration and my sale picks. HHH makes some really great basic everyday wardrobe staples and some very fun specialty pieces- I reach for these dresses so so often! Happy shopping :) SALE PICKS: Botanical Ellie | Blackwatch Tartan Naomi | Sparkle Ellie | Floral Skirt | Striped Louisa Navy Louisa | Botanical Robe | Tulle Ellie | Ballet Sweater | Tartan Louisa | Blackwatch Ellie Pastel Trellis Ellie | Blue Puffer Coat | Sparkle Platforms | Tweed Jacket | Pearl Headband | Eyelet Ellie

The Lady Jacket Edit

I love when more classic pieces become "trendy" because that means endless options to add to your forever closet. The obsession with the Lady Jacket silhouette has been one of my favorites this year. This fall, they are everywhere in the best way possible. I have a handful of these style of jackets/sweaters and they are on heavy rotation in my closet. I reach for them often and they have been the perfect addition to my clinic wardrobe. These jackets look so effortless and polished and can definitely be styled casual to professional. I searched the internet to find some of my favorite styles of these jackets and tried to find some at all price points- I even found one on Amazon! Enjoy :) some outfit inspo LEFT COLUMN:   1  |   2  |   3  |   4  |   5 MIDDLE COLUMN:   1  |   2  |   3  |   4 RIGHT COLUMN:   1  |   2  |   3  |   4  |   5 As always #dontforge...

Nordstrom Sale

Hello! It has been months since my last post here. That was not my intention but school, board exams and way too much studying got in the way. But hopefully we are back with our weekly posts in time for the start of the Nordstrom Sale! I sifted through most of the sale preview this year. The best things I found were in beauty like the Supergoop sets, Dyson Airwrap and other favorite products of mine that I want to stock up on. This is usually how I shop the NSale- I find things I use and wear on a daily basis and grab extras during the sale. This year I see my favorite everyday bra, favorite sunscreen, body wash, face cleanser, skin care, scrunchies and jeans. I need new sneakers so those are calling my name and there's always a few for fun things like the sunhat or fun heeled boots.  I do not have a Nordstrom card so I shop the sale when it goes live to the public and things that sell out before then are *usually* restocked by then. I am curious to know what you guys are ey...

I always get asked about spring and summer shoe options are are not espadrilles. You guys know that I absolutely love my espadrilles and ALWAYS wear them, but I think you are right and I need to mix it up a bit. I have compiled some great options and other favorite pairs to wear this spring and summer. Obviously, I included my favorite espadrilles but also included other options with and without heels so I hope there is something for everyone! ADD TO CART

Happy March and welcome back to the blog! It has been awhile since the last post- school and getting covid again got in the way. But, I am on break this week so I am dusting off some drafts and writing some new posts! I have been loving these new arrivals from J. Crew. This gold button/Lady Jacket era style that has been in for this winter/spring season is one of my favorites. It is such a classic look that will always be in style and a great investment piece for your wardrobe. I am really eyeing the striped one but also the pink gingham one is adorable and I normally do not gravitate towards pink! I love all these great basics too- button-ups, sweaters and a great cut of white jeans. I am so excited for warmer weather ahead and fun spring outfits! THE PAJAMA EDIT

I am not big into new year resolutions or goals, but I do love a mood board for some fresh inspiration. One thing I have on my mood board this year are the Sleeper feather pajamas. Yes, this feels random but I am loving the cozy chic vibe of it all. Last year, it was super popular to "romanticize your life" and to continue with that in the new year, insert the iconic feather pajamas. Matching pajama sets, in general, just make my every day experiences feel more elevated and even fun so I bring you the 2023 Pajama Edit. I think my love for pajamas and matching pajamas is not a secret. I think every pajama I own is a set. Also, I am sharing pajamas while everyone else is sharing work out sets, which I think is a way better start  to a new year :) THE PAJAMA EDIT:  Blue Short Set  |   Gingham Feather PJs  |   Robe  |   Navy Set  |   Headband Gingham Top + Bottoms  |  Blue Striped Pant Set  |  Blue Trellis Top...

Summer Botanicals

Spoiler alert: I love feminine floral printed things. But you probably knew that! I have been eyeing this print for months. It comes in this dress, skirt , shirt and a swim suit . When I saw that this dress was on sale, I was sold (along with some influencing from my blogger bestie twin, Shelby, aha). It is truly stunning! I really love any kind of botanical or floral print, especially in blue or white. I try to incorporate these all year round, but are mostly drawn to them in the spring and summer- florals for spring, groundbreaking.  A few notes on the fit of the dress. It runs ~small~. I first ordered a medium, but it was very snug. So when I saw a large was restocked, I exchanged and sized up. So the large fits, but its a little big, haah. Its ok, better than too snug and small! But the print is just gorgeous! Shop the dress here + here . And, shop more of my summer floral picks at the bottom of the post :) hope you enjoyed your first day of summer, yesterday! As alway...

10 White Dresses for Summer

Even though I am firm wearer of white all year long, I gravitate more towards white and white dresses come summer time. I think there is just something so effortless about a white dress during the warm season. A white dress is really a piece you can have in your closet for the long haul because the color is timeless, so even if the silhouette is a bit trendier, I think you can make it work for years to come.  I have looked through all of my favorite places to shop to find 10 great white dresses I think are worth having in your closet this summer. If you are a bride, a graduate, or just in need of a white dress, then you have come to the right place!  Top Row:   One  |   Two  |   Three  |   Four  |   Five Bottom Row:   One  |   Two  |   Three  |   Four  |   Five As always, #dontforgetyourpearls SHOP THE POST:   JavaScript is currently disabled in this browser. Spring Dress Round Up

Similar Dress | Sweater | Similar bag | Ballet Flats Transitioning to spring weather is always my least favorite time of year. I never know exactly what to wear: its always freezing in the morning then sizzling by the afternoon! We have actually had a couple of weeks of weather in the 30s and 40s, so I have been mostly reaching for more winter pieces, which does not match the time of year. I think I am trying to manifest warm weather with my round-up of spring dresses today. I just want so desperately to wear a fun, flowy dress and not have to worry about grabbing a big coat or being cold. I would love to pack away my sweater tights and turtlenecks for good.  Dresses are my favorite piece to transition to warmer weather with, and I think we could still have some chilly days ahead so these are my quick tips to layer up your spring frock: a sweater/cardigan that can be easily worn around your shoulders but thrown on if you are chilled, a long dress with longer sleeves is ...

Fall Trend: Clogs

I have a confession: I have loved clogs for so long. I am so excited that these are coming back this fall! I have been eyeing so many fun styles of clogs from so many different brands and stores, in the past few weeks. There are so many great pairs, and even Target has gotten in on the trend. My love for clogs goes back to when I worked as a scribe in family medicine. My dress code was business casual and I had to wear close-toe shoes that I could run around the clinic in, but still looked nice and were comfy. Clogs were/are great because they give you some height, are comfy, and go with any look. I had so many pairs that I had to retire because of 2 straight years of daily wear! I rounded up some great styles I have been eyeing this season, and made sure to include all price points. The pair from Target I included, is only $30! A note on this pair though, is that they have been going in and out of stock so quickly, so if you want a pair snag them as soon as you see them in your...

Nordstrom Sale

It is already that time of year again: time for the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! I was debating about putting my picks in a blog post form, but decided to just do some easy, stoppable widgets of the pieces that caught my eye. This sale usually gets a lot of hype and attention- it usually includes pieces that rarely go on sale, and a whole bunch of other things. I see the sale as a time to get basics you need/need to replace and a way to get ahead on some fall shopping. For example, if you need a new winter coat, now is the time to buy it during the sale. I picked things that stood out to me, like coats, basics, sneakers, and a few fun things! Obviously there is way more to the sale than these, but I have tried to vet what I think is worth it. Early access started yesterday, and the sale opens to the public on July 28. I am not a card holder, and cannot shop until the end of the month. If you are in the same boat, and you see something you like, don't forget to come back to this po...

Basket Bag Finds

It is no secret that I love my basket/wicker bags. I pretty much carry the same one all spring and summer long because I love it that much. I feel like I need to mix it up and add a few more to my collection haha, and mine is old from a couple of years ago, but this is the new similar option . These bags are just so fun because they come in all shapes and sizes, so there is something for any one. They are also extremely versatile and go from day to night so well, in my opinion.  I have rounded up a handful of bags that have caught my eye. But, the bag at the top of my wishlist is this sweet market tote from Bows and Blue with a painted blue bow and gingham top handle! Its adorable and also comes in a mini size . Wedding Guest Dresses

Last week, I did a fun Reel on Instagram with my friend Elizabeth from Tall and Preppy ! It was a lot of fun to put together the looks and get dressed up. I figured since a lot of weddings are happening this summer that I would put together a post of some wedding guest dress inspiration. I think wedding fashion seems overwhelming when thinking about what the dress code is and isn't for specific events. Formal/black tie attire is the only one where you need to be really dressy and have a gown, but otherwise it is easy to dress up and down any dress!  I really love knee length and longer dress for wedding because they seem effortlessly dressier. I have pulled together some of my favorite midi and maxi dresses that I think would be perfect to wear to a wedding. Shoes and accessories can be kept very simple too: an easy block heel  (use code SARAHFLINT-BALIBBYM for $50 off!) and even wedge espadrilles are comfy and chic ! *Also a note on colors to avoid: obviously white, but ...

Weekend Finds- Memorial Day Sales Edition

Welcome to my new blog series! I will have a blog post every (most!) Saturdays with what I have been eyeing to shop, or what I have recently purchased. *This one is going up on Friday because of all the great Memorial Day sales* I am not quite sure on the name for this series, so do not be surprised it if changes a bit, aha. I am also going to include a little weekly catch up to start these posts. I might have themes each like long dresses, beach vacation, etc., but this week will be a round up of a bunch of MEMORIAL DAY SALES I have been eyeing! I did not include every sale I have seen because that would be a lot, so I picked places I already shop at and love! If something more catches my eye, I will update this post. I will also be posting lots of content to my Liketoknow.it . Lets start with the weekly catch-up: This week, has been pretty laid back. My godlendoodle, Poppy, had to have an infected nail cut pretty short last week, and this week she got the ok to leave it bandage...

Must Haves for Summer

Similar Dress It feels like I am jumping ahead and sharing summer things, but summer is my favorite season! I always feel like the warm weather months are super short, so I am trying to extend my favorite season by sharing summer content early. I guess it gives you time to round out your summer wardrobe before the season officially starts! Ironically enough, I will be sharing my spring bucket list soon, so look out for that one. - Striped Boatneck Tee // This is a casual classic that I reach for all summer long! I sometimes can dress it up with a nicer pair of linen pants or navy skirt and espadrilles! I also love this one , too! - White Jeans // Another warm weather classic. White jeans are just so easy to create a cute look, especially on chillier evenings. - Pearl Straw Bag // A straw bag of some sorts is so summer, and I have been lusting over this pearl embellished bag for a while! I love that its from a small women owned business based in NYC, too. - Bamboo Wicker Bag ...

Spring Sephora Sale

The spring sale at Sephora starts tomorrow, so today I have a big post with favorites and picks from Sephora. I have broken it into sections with skincare, hair and makeup, and highlighted my top picks from each section. Below, I have included many more picks from each section that I love and didn't quite make my top favorites, cult favorites and things I want to try! *The sale starts tomorrow for Rouge members with 20% off, then VIB's can shop on 4/13 with15% off, and Insiders can shop on 4/15 with 10% off!* SKINCARE: Fresh Soy Face Cleanser - This has been my only face wash for the past several years. I love it! It is gentle but cleansing if that makes sense..it leaves your face clean without feeling like you stripped it of natural oils or used a harsh chemical. I always recommend this one to friends who need a better cleanser! Sunday Riley Luna Night Oil - I have repurchased this several times! It is a night oil with retinol that is pretty gentle, in my opinion. I always n...
