Spring Mini Dress

I am usually all about the midi and maxi length dresses, but sometimes I find a mini or short dress that needs a spot in my closet. I have had this Gal Meets Glam dress for a couple of years now, and she is the perfect example of this. I think it is fun to mix up the silhouettes of dresses you own, and I have definitely added some new styles of mini's and maxi's in the past several months.  I wish this dress was still available, so I could link it, but I have found some similar options that are just as good! This is the Gal Meets Glam Darla dress if you wish to do some internet thrifting, but I will warn that it is hard to come by these days! The details, of any dress, are really an important feature, but more so for me if I am going to invest in a dress that is not my usual style/silhouette. For this dress, it was really the pattern, color and bow tie detail. The fact that it is a shirtdress is really icing the cake. It is such a fun piece with a timeless element. For simila

Where I Find Ginger Jars

I am often asked where my collection of ginger jars and blue and white pieces are from. The answer is never simple, as I usually let the jars find me- that is if I am out and about, and see something that speaks to me I get it! I do have a places where I like to buy them or can find ginger jars, and that is what I am sharing today!: 1. Antique/Consignment Shops // I think anyone would tell you that this is the best place to find ginger jars or blue and white dishes/pottery. This is my number one because I like to think that a piece found in an antique store has a story or something special behind it. With that being said, you do not have to find your ginger jars at an antique or consignment shop for it to be special to you.  - Harrington Lane Vintage is an Instagram account, and Caitlin, who runs it, sources some really great antique pieces, and always has some good blue and white ones! The small round one with the lid is something I got from her, and it is perfect! 2. Boutiques //

A Collage Dump

I have a bit of a different post today! I have been making a lot of collages and content for only my Liketoknow.it page , lately. There's been a lot of collages that I have loved to put together, and I decided that I should also share them here. But, they are all kind of different themes. So here a "collage dump" off several of the LTK posts! You can always find my LTK through the "Shop My Looks" page on here or find and follow me on the app @libbylovespearls (the same handle as my Instagram). Spring Finds Under $100

Similar Dress  + Similar Dress The other day, I was looking at this dress , and it hit me that I should round up some great spring pieces that are $100 and under. I really think you can find timeless, classic pieces at any price point and feel these spring pieces fit the bill. Of course, everything ended up being in blue and white! I cannot wait for consistent warm weather to wear nothing but flowy sundresses and lighter colors. I really tried to find things that I have already or have my eye on, and pieces that could make a really gorgeous, more budget friendly capsule spring wardrobe. Shopping My Closet vol. 4

Welcome to spring-ish weather. It has been beautiful here in Minnesota, but I have feeling this is just like a fool's spring and we will have a few more cold and snowy days before real spring starts. But, I could not resist pulling out one of my favorite Liberty floral dresses for a new Shopping My Closet post! I bought this dress from J. Crew last spring as a quarantine stressed induced impulse purchase. I found myself wearing it all the time last spring, and was a great piece to just throw on and feel put together (and stop me from wearing work out clothes all day). I absolutely adore the Liberty London floral pattern on this dress. The dainty blue and white flowers with specks of some pinks are so perfect for warmer weather. The silhouette is also so easy and flattering on everyone. This exact dress is not available any more, but I have linked some similar pieces below! I paired the dress with my favorite espadrilles. I know these are a bit of a splurge, but you will have the

What I'm Loving no. 24

Dress | Hat | Espadrilles It is such a gorgeous day in early March, as I write this. I do not even want to think about the arctic cold snap we had in February, haha. I also have a question that I am very curious to know everyone's answer to: what were you doing one year ago? I do not have a lot of favorites from February, as I mostly felt uninspired by the very cold weather, but here is what I have been loving!: 1. Bala Bangles  - My number one work out has been hopping on the treadmill and either running, speed walking and, or walking on an incline, and also mat pilates. I wanted to add an extra challenge, and holding small weights was getting annoying, so I got the Bala Bangles, and am such a convert! I got 1 lb, but I think 2 lb would have been good for me too.  I love how it adds a little extra work for my arms, and I can also put them on my ankles if I do pilates! 2. This Bralette  - I already have a different bralette from Tommy John and love it, so I wanted to try anothe

Sail to Sable Spring

I want to start by saying that it has been in the 40s here in Minnesota, and our snow is melting! This has put me in the best mood, but also the sunniest mood, haha. I know that there is probably several cold and snowy days left for us this season, but the current weather says that spring and are coming! I feel like this eyelet top  (gifted) from Sail to Sable just screams ready for spring. It is such a gorgeous eyelet of what looks like flowers. The flutter sleeve detail is also such a perfect touch to make this top even more feminine. I paired it with these jeans , this bag (similar), and my favorite espadrilles , and it made me feel like green grass and spring flowers were right around the corner! Here is a better look at the flutter detail. I also felt like this top was perfect for all of the at home adventures before actual spring is here. It is such a comfy, light weight top that can really be styled a number of ways. I was planning on only styling this outfit indoors, but the

Nightstand Essentials

Dress | Shoes (use libby10 for 10% off!) I was inspired to write this post by my friend Holley from byholley.com  who wrote a similar post on her blog and I loved the idea! It is kind of fun to see what every keeps on their bedside table and how they style it.  This is the night stand I have . I found it at Target of all places, and was not expecting to find one I loved so much there. I like it because it has a pretty big table top, and is less likely to look cluttered even when I keep setting things on it, aha. I love love the detailing of the shelf it has because it a woven rattan/wicker! Lets start with under the night stand and the middle shelf. Under the table, in a basket, I keep a couple of books I am going to read next, and right now I also have some random books about medical school interviews and a cocktail recipe book- random, I know. There's definitely more room in the basket for more!  On the shelf, I keep two prettier books that are the same in color: HRH and Bec
