I always get asked about spring and summer shoe options are are not espadrilles. You guys know that I absolutely love my espadrilles and ALWAYS wear them, but I think you are right and I need to mix it up a bit. I have compiled some great options and other favorite pairs to wear this spring and summer. Obviously, I included my favorite espadrilles but also included other options with and without heels so I hope there is something for everyone! Summer Botanicals

Spoiler alert: I love feminine floral printed things. But you probably knew that! I have been eyeing this print for months. It comes in this dress, skirt , shirt and a swim suit . When I saw that this dress was on sale, I was sold (along with some influencing from my blogger bestie twin, Shelby, aha). It is truly stunning! I really love any kind of botanical or floral print, especially in blue or white. I try to incorporate these all year round, but are mostly drawn to them in the spring and summer- florals for spring, groundbreaking.  A few notes on the fit of the dress. It runs ~small~. I first ordered a medium, but it was very snug. So when I saw a large was restocked, I exchanged and sized up. So the large fits, but its a little big, haah. Its ok, better than too snug and small! But the print is just gorgeous! Shop the dress here + here . And, shop more of my summer floral picks at the bottom of the post :) hope you enjoyed your first day of summer, yesterday! As alway...

What to Wear for the Fourth of July

I cannot believe it is almost July! This summer is going by too fast for me, and I go back to school in early august this year so I don't have that much summer left! Anyway, we are so close to the Fourth of July, that I that I wanted to put together some festive Americana looks for the holiday. I tied together pieces from every kind of style I love: classic/preppy style and feminine/grandmillennial all with a twist of coastal grandmother because it just works :) No matter your plans for the long holiday weekend, I have a look for you. Wishing you cool thoughts if there is also a heatwave where you live, and happy summer! Beach Vacation Packing List

A real beach vacation sounds amazing. I am imagining renting a house with a pool on the beach and going from pool to beach all day, then freshening up for fun dinners at night. There is no better feeling than the post sun/pool/beach day shower! My ideal beach vacay suitcase is filled with a lot of swimsuits, dresses and SPF. I also have been eyeing this lace Nap Dress , and think that because it is un-lined that it could make a cute beach cover up during the day, and then add a slip and you have a gorgeous dinner dress! I also LOVE this little after swim cover up too. A great tote that can double as beach and dinner should also be in the beach suitcase- I love this one from POOLSIDE . Here is what I would bring on a beach vacation this summer! Lace Nap Dress | Swim Top + Bottom | Sun Hat | White Top Lace Up Sandals * | White Swimsuit | Shorts   Striped Shirt | Swim Top + Bottom | Button-up | Straw Tote Linen Pants | Floral Mini Dress | Espadrilles | Blue + White D...

10 White Dresses for Summer

Even though I am firm wearer of white all year long, I gravitate more towards white and white dresses come summer time. I think there is just something so effortless about a white dress during the warm season. A white dress is really a piece you can have in your closet for the long haul because the color is timeless, so even if the silhouette is a bit trendier, I think you can make it work for years to come.  I have looked through all of my favorite places to shop to find 10 great white dresses I think are worth having in your closet this summer. If you are a bride, a graduate, or just in need of a white dress, then you have come to the right place!  Top Row:   One  |   Two  |   Three  |   Four  |   Five Bottom Row:   One  |   Two  |   Three  |   Four  |   Five As always, #dontforgetyourpearls SHOP THE POST:   JavaScript is currently disabled in this browser. Rules for a Coastal Grandmother Summer

I am not sure if you follow Eli Rallo (@thejarr) on TikTok, but she has this series where she gives her "rules" for a certain occasion, scenario, or week. I was very much inspired by her and thought about what would the rules be for having your best coastal grandmother summer. Think walks on the beach, sea salt air and lots of outdoor living and dining. Sounds ideal to me! Here's the rules:  1. Sun Protection - Yes we love to be outside and love the sun, but no we don't love sun burns and skin damage. Make sure you have your sunhat , face sunscreen , body sunscreen and sunglasses! 2. Rosé is the drink of choice - Rosé is the perfect summer drink. It is light, refreshing, and not overly sweet. It is perfect for you coastal gran summer because to me, it just gives coastal vibes, especially Hamptons beach vibes. If you need a recommendation for a good rosé, Wolffer Estate is my go to! So this summer, we're drinking rosé. 3. Beach walks - The obvious rule, beach wa...

What I Packed for Charleston

I am just back from my trip to Charleston, SC. It was an amazing trip, and I need to go back to explore all that I missed. I love seeing what others pack for trips to various destinations, and thought it could be helpful to share what I packed for my trip to Charleston. Since my family has a house in Florida, I am no stranger to the heat and humidity of the South this time of year. This is what I always keep in mind when packing for a late spring/early summer trip to this part of the country. I gravitate towards flowy dresses, lighter colors, and throw in sweaters for icy air conditioning and cooler nights.  For this trip, I wanted to include pieces that I can dress down during the day, and dress up a little more for night time since we love to do fun, nice vacay dinners. So I mostly packed dresses and skirts. I did wear linen pants for travel, so I also had those in case I was feeling like pants (I wasn't!). I also brought a swim suit + cover up for the rooftop pool/terrace...

Coastal Grandmother Aesthetic

Who else has been loving the  Coastal Grandmother aesthetic trend on TikTok? I've been very engrossed in this trend that is actually not at all trendy and a nod to classic style, which I LOVE. Classic summer style is one of my favorite facets of classic style- linen dresses and pants, sun hats, walks on the beach and lots of rosé. This is literally me. And I consider myself a grandmillennial, so coastal grandmother is not too far off. Some may call it coast-grand-millennial ;) ALSO, a couple of weeks ago the Today Show did a segment on the trend, and featured a clip from one of my coastal gran TikToks! These are things you need to create your own coastal grandmother aesthetic, the coastal grandmother starter kit if you will. You probably have most of these things in your closet if you are a fellow classic style lover, like myself. So lets all live our lives as if we lived in a Nancy Meyers movie, and have the best coastal grandmother girl summer. Coast Grandmother Essentials...

Outfits I Wore in Rhode Island

I wanted to do a round up of what I wore when I was on the East coast/Rhode Island a couple of weeks ago. I always have fun styling outfits for trips, and this might have been one of my favorites. It was also my first real trip/travels since early 2020, besides driving to Florida this spring. I included the outfit from each full day we were in Rhode Island. I did wear this Kate Spade dress when I went into NYC, but I did not get a good photo of myself in it. Some pieces I could not find an exact link for, so I included some similar ones. I pretty much these Sarah Flint sandals with every outfit! I will link them on each one, but wanted to make sure to include my code for $50 off here: SARAHFLINT-BALIBBYM . Puff Sleeve Dream

I have really into the trend of puff sleeves this summer. To be honest, I was not in love with this sleeve style when I first saw it everywhere. But I realized, you have to find the right kind of puff sleeve pieces for you and your style.  The details and print of the fabric on this puff sleeve dress are just so well done. I love how it is subtle while making a statement. I will never say no to this dress silhouette, as I think it looks good on everyone. I paired this dress with my new bow earrings from Tiffany Custard Designs , and I felt like a grandmillennial dream. (The earrings can be made clip-on! The owner, Tiffany, is so sweet, and I definitely want to buy another pair of earrings from her small business!) I was in one of my favorite park/gardens during golden hour. It always feels like I have stepped into summer gardens in Europe, like the English or French country. It is such a serene place, and a great place to be when the sun is setting. The lighting was magica...

What I Packed for Rhode Island

I am SO excited to be back on the East Coast for a bit. Today, we are driving to Rhode Island to spend the long weekend and celebrate my cousin's 30th birthday (thirty, flirting and thriving, right?!). I have only been to Rhode Island on one other occasion, and that was a marching band trip where we marched in the oldest Fourth of July celebration in the country. Thinking back on that, it was a very surreal experience that I am grateful for, and I am even more excited to get to go back to that state and explore as an adult. As soon as I knew we would be going to Rhode Island, I thought about the outfits for the trip. It invoked a sense of the classic East Coast prep style that I already love so much, and so I took that as my packing inspiration! The Kiel James Patrick store/brand is based out of Newport, RI, so I will definitely be visiting and I had to leave room in my suitcase for some new KJP pieces. I haven't had to pack for travel in awhile, so I decided to take a new ap...

J. Crew Sale Picks

This dress is on sale! Happy July 1! J. Crew is having a pretty good sale on sale right now! All of their sale pieces are an extra 50% off and some are even an extra 60% off. I did order a few things, and might make another order aha. The sale runs through July 5, so you have time to peruse and make you selections. I have been linking pieces from the sale on sale on LTK, but wanted to do a bigger post here with everything. So enjoy my picks! Oh yes, I just got these linen pants in the mail. They are only $30 right now! I am wearing Tall sizes in them, for reference. (They say stretch linen, but are not that stretchy.) J. CREW SALE PICKS: JavaScript is currently disabled in this browser. Basket Bag Finds

It is no secret that I love my basket/wicker bags. I pretty much carry the same one all spring and summer long because I love it that much. I feel like I need to mix it up and add a few more to my collection haha, and mine is old from a couple of years ago, but this is the new similar option . These bags are just so fun because they come in all shapes and sizes, so there is something for any one. They are also extremely versatile and go from day to night so well, in my opinion.  I have rounded up a handful of bags that have caught my eye. But, the bag at the top of my wishlist is this sweet market tote from Bows and Blue with a painted blue bow and gingham top handle! Its adorable and also comes in a mini size . Summer Reading List

Is anyone else triggered when they hear the phrase summer reading list? I am, haha. But this one is not full of boring novels that you will quizzed on during the first day of school. This is my little list of fun summer reads for your vacation, beach time, pool time, back yard time, before bed you get it!  The first list is what is on my personal list for the summer. The second list is my recommendations for you guys to read this summer! I love some light reads for the warmer months or some soft thrill, if that makes sense haha. I want to caveat that all the books are linked from Amazon out of convenience for me (and probably you!), but I want to encourage you to pull up this post at your local bookstore because  that is the best way for the authors to become best sellers! ON MY LIST: 1. Malibu Rising 2. The People You Meet On Vacation 3. An Elin Hilderbrand book- I haven't picked which one because they all sound pretty good! Obviously, I will read more than these, but...

Beach Vacation Packing List

I cannot remember the last time I went on a true summer vacation to the beach. When I lived on the East Coast, it was really easy to take a day trip or weekend to the beach, but nothing feels the same as a real week long summer vacation! Especially this summer, I am itching to go on one and put that into inspiration for a beach vacay packing list! Most these pieces, or some variation of them, would be in my beach bound suit case. It is clear I am theme of bows, gingham and blue and white here, haha.  BEACH VACATION PACKING LIST: Swim Top + Bottoms | Sunscreen | Dress | Straw Bag Smocked Top | Espadrilles White Skirt | Fleece | Pajamas Sandals (use SARAHFLINT-BALIBBYM for $50 off!) | Sun Hat -I always think a sweater is essential wherever you go in the summer because it can get chilly at night, and there's is nothing less fun than being cold. I love the DS Fleeces because they also look chic, and are an easy option to tie around your shoulders in case you need it....

Wedding Guest Dresses

Last week, I did a fun Reel on Instagram with my friend Elizabeth from Tall and Preppy ! It was a lot of fun to put together the looks and get dressed up. I figured since a lot of weddings are happening this summer that I would put together a post of some wedding guest dress inspiration. I think wedding fashion seems overwhelming when thinking about what the dress code is and isn't for specific events. Formal/black tie attire is the only one where you need to be really dressy and have a gown, but otherwise it is easy to dress up and down any dress!  I really love knee length and longer dress for wedding because they seem effortlessly dressier. I have pulled together some of my favorite midi and maxi dresses that I think would be perfect to wear to a wedding. Shoes and accessories can be kept very simple too: an easy block heel  (use code SARAHFLINT-BALIBBYM for $50 off!) and even wedge espadrilles are comfy and chic ! *Also a note on colors to avoid: obviously white, but ...
