Summer Reading List

Is anyone else triggered when they hear the phrase summer reading list? I am, haha. But this one is not full of boring novels that you will quizzed on during the first day of school. This is my little list of fun summer reads for your vacation, beach time, pool time, back yard time, before bed you get it!

The first list is what is on my personal list for the summer. The second list is my recommendations for you guys to read this summer! I love some light reads for the warmer months or some soft thrill, if that makes sense haha. I want to caveat that all the books are linked from Amazon out of convenience for me (and probably you!), but I want to encourage you to pull up this post at your local bookstore because  that is the best way for the authors to become best sellers!

ON MY LIST:

1. Malibu Rising

2. The People You Meet On Vacation

3. An Elin Hilderbrand book- I haven't picked which one because they all sound pretty good!

Obviously, I will read more than these, but these are the ones that I am prioritizing!

SUMMER READING LIST:

1. Crazy Rich Asians series

2. American Royals 1+2 (Majesty)

3. The Royal We + The Heir Affair

4. They Wish They Were Us

5. The Last Mrs. Parrish

6. The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo (my fave read from 2020!)

7. Sex and Vanity

8. Would Like To Meet

9. Anna K + Anna K Away

10. Ghosted

Happy Summer Reading! What is on your personal reading list this season?

As always,

Coastal Grandmother Aesthetic

Who else has been loving the  Coastal Grandmother aesthetic trend on TikTok? I've been very engrossed in this trend that is actually not at all trendy and a nod to classic style, which I LOVE. Classic summer style is one of my favorite facets of classic style- linen dresses and pants, sun hats, walks on the beach and lots of rosé. This is literally me. And I consider myself a grandmillennial, so coastal grandmother is not too far off. Some may call it coast-grand-millennial ;) ALSO, a couple of weeks ago the Today Show did a segment on the trend, and featured a clip from one of my coastal gran TikToks! These are things you need to create your own coastal grandmother aesthetic, the coastal grandmother starter kit if you will. You probably have most of these things in your closet if you are a fellow classic style lover, like myself. So lets all live our lives as if we lived in a Nancy Meyers movie, and have the best coastal grandmother girl summer. Coast Grandmother Essentials...

What I Packed for Rhode Island

I am SO excited to be back on the East Coast for a bit. Today, we are driving to Rhode Island to spend the long weekend and celebrate my cousin's 30th birthday (thirty, flirting and thriving, right?!). I have only been to Rhode Island on one other occasion, and that was a marching band trip where we marched in the oldest Fourth of July celebration in the country. Thinking back on that, it was a very surreal experience that I am grateful for, and I am even more excited to get to go back to that state and explore as an adult. As soon as I knew we would be going to Rhode Island, I thought about the outfits for the trip. It invoked a sense of the classic East Coast prep style that I already love so much, and so I took that as my packing inspiration! The Kiel James Patrick store/brand is based out of Newport, RI, so I will definitely be visiting and I had to leave room in my suitcase for some new KJP pieces. I haven't had to pack for travel in awhile, so I decided to take a new ap...

A Thanksgiving Look

Turtleneck  |   Skirt  |   Tights  |   Boots Thanksgiving is only one week away! I am excited to go home, and spend time with my family and friends. This is a holiday that is HARD to dress for. On one hand, you want to wear joggers and a big sweater because of all of the yummy food and treats. On the other hand, you want to dress up, or slightly dress up while still feeling comfy. Hence, the big dressing dilemma: how to create the right look for your kind of holiday? I like to dress it up a little , without wearing a cocktail outfit or gown, haha. I created this look for a dressy, casual look. It is an easy outfit to put together, and I bet you have some similar pieces in your closet! A turtleneck, plaid skirt and tights is such a classic fall look that is also great for this holiday. It is kind of an easy dressing equation too because it is so easy to mix and match what you have in your closet, or buy one new piece that you know will go with an...
