ChappyWrap Review

ChappyWrap I have used a lot of different blankets in my life. I tend to run cold, no matter the season, and can probably be found wrapped in a blanket. I had wanted a ChappyWrap for so long because I had heard rave reviews about the blanket. I finally got one this winter! Now that I have used the Chappy for winter, spring, and some summer, I thought it would be a good time to write a review. Here is the readers digest version of my review: I want one for every room of the house ! -It is super cozy! I love the fleecy material. It is so soft, and just gets softer with every wash! Its crazy because sometimes washing blankets that are similar can make them worn and not as cuddly, but this one gets better with each wash and age! -It is the  perfect  weight: it is not too heavy and it is not too light. It feels hefty enough for the winter, and light enough for the spring and summer, if that makes sense. My temperature always feels just right when I am in it- not too warm an...

Lisi Lerch Earrings

I know I have mentioned this before, but I do not have my ears pierced. It was always fine with me because I never felt like I needed to wear earrings. Until, I started to see all these adorable statement pieces that can really make an outfit. I searched for some nice clip-on options, and found a few that were cute, but not exactly what I wanted. Enter my discovery of the brand Lisi Lerch , and they have so many clip-on earring options !! I was graciously gifted a pair of earrings from the brand! I received the Natalie earrings in white with clip-on backing. They are some fun tiered statement earrings that I have already reached for a handful of times. I love the white because it goes with so many outfits! Not all clip backings are created equally, and I have tried a bunch of uncomfortable ones, and the Lisi Lerch backings are not one of these! They are so comfortable, and not pinching on the ears at all. The earrings are also super light weight, so you don't feel like your ea...

MY FAVORITE SARAH FLINT STYLES

Sarah Flint has become one of my favorite places for shoes. I love what the company stands for and how the founder, Sarah Flint, has structured the business. All the shoes are designed with women in mind with arch support+padding (!), and maybe my favorite, a wider toe box so your feet/toes do not feel squished in the bottom of the shoe! All of the designs are *handmade* in Italy by family factories that have been making shoes for generations. I own the Natalie Flats and the Perfect Emma Sling. You can always use my code SARAHFLINT-BALIBBYM for $50 off your own pair! As I always say, your feet are important and you should invest in them! The Natalie flats are the classic pointed toe flat with a little bow detail. I love love how comfy and chic they are. I reach for these often. I think the shape of the shoe is very flattering for anyone! I feel like they go with every outfit too- wear it with a dress, skirt, jeans, anything! These are the Perfect Emma Slings. I think they are such a cl...

My Wardrobe Staple: Dudley Stephens Fleece

I purchased my first Dudley Stephens Fleece in the winter of 2019. I am pretty sure I wore it almost every day for the rest of winter, and into the spring! Since then, I have gathered quite the collection because they are *that* good. I also love that the company is founded and owned by women, and all of their fleece are made sustainably from recycled water bottles. They are also made right in New York.  I have had some questions about the different DS Styles and fleece types, so today, I am highlighting these! I really believe that you can wear them with anything and they will look stylish while being the coziest thing you will ever wear. This is NOT sponsored, by the way...but I wish it was because I love love their product and hopefully someday can work with this amazing, women founded brand! This month marks 5 years of this amazing business too! And, before we get started, here is a link to $25 off your first fleece !! Lets start with the different fleece types. The Vello flee...

Mini Glossier Review

I am not a beauty guru, haha. But, I do like make-up and skin care things, and love trying new to me brands. Way back in the beginning of March, I popped into the city to visit the Glossier Flagship store. I had been eyeing some things I wanted to try, but didn't want to order online for my first go. [For the record, what finally sucked me into the Glossier world was the constant Instagram ads I was getting 😂!] Ok, first off, the flagship store is SO aesthetically pleasing, no wonder all the trendy IG gals flock there. I knew I really wanted to try the Boy Brow, but had no clue what shade to get, same for the Cloud Paint. After testing them and chatting with one of the showroom girls, I went for this set - it has Boy Brow, Cloud Paint, and the Lash Slick (mascara) for a bundled price! I really recommend the sets if you are new to the brand! I have been reaching for these three products most during quarantine. Wearing them makes me feel more like myself, and put together, an...

Blue Light Blocking Glasses

When I ordered new glasses back in May, I told the optician that I was a graduate student (and blogger, aha). I said that I spent a lot of my time in front of a screen whether that be in lecture, studying, or writing. She instantly recommended that I have blue light blocking in my new lenses. I totally agreed! It has now been about 2 months wearing my everyday glasses with blue light blocking lenses, and I wanted to give you little review/insight into how they have been working for me so far. When I first picked up my glasses, I was SO excited. (I love picking out new glasses because it is like a fun new accessory!) I put on the glasses so they could be adjusted, and they just seemed like I was looking through normal glasses! I instantly noticed a difference when looking at my phone screen, though. It looked/s like the "night shift" setting was on all the time, but not in a bad way. That first day felt almost life changing, yes one day felt like a world of difference fo...

A week of natural deodorant

Shop a similar dress Hello! A few weeks ago, I started using a natural deodorant. At first, I was somewhat skeptical of this because it seemed like a big trendy fad that would die out. However, (this maybe be a TMI, but a funny one?) I have had chronically itchy arm pits (😂). I am not sure when it started, but the years of itchiness are very memorable, ahah. It had recently been suggested to me (by a healthcare provider) that I should try a natural deodorant. She didn't recommend any brand over another, but said it could be worth trying. I am still working on my own research on the risks/benefits/harms, etc. of all deodorants, so I have no conclusions on what the literature says on "natural" vs. "un-natural" deodorants, but I wanted to share my experience so far of using a natural one. I knew some brands that had a natural deodorant, and read things about all of them. When I was at Whole Foods the other week, I thought maybe they would have something...

My Gal Meets Glam Collection

Hello! You might have already figured this out, but I have a serious obsession with every single Gal Meets Glam dress and collection . I feel like I am starting to grow quite the collection of the insanely beautiful dresses. I recently did a poll on my Instagram, and you guys said that you wanted to see my collection. I have compiled pictures from older posts, and from my iPhone to show you! I have purchased all of these on sale, or received them as gifts (thanks mom). I think getting them on sale is my secret for buying Gal Meets Glam dresses. They are 100% worth the investment, and will always be in style because they are such classic pieces and silhouettes. A new collection comes out about every month, and every month I look at it, and think: I want it all!! The next drop is March 13th, and I am so excited!! I have added the name of each dress below the picture. Because these are from the "older" collections, I cannot find most of the links. But here are my tips if you...
