First, it is striped AND a shirt dress! Second, it is actually named "Bristol Parade." That is the oldest 4th of July Parade in the country, and I had the privilege of marching in it during my high school marching band trip to New England in 2010 (omg that was 9 years ago?!?). That day it was about 110 degrees, and we wore all black uniforms....if you are familiar with the parade, it is a LONG LONG LONG route, and I somehow, barely survived. Sometimes a staycation is the better way to relax, and unwind. There is less stress, less planning, and virtually no travel! It does not sound as chic as a real vacation, but lets be real, you will probably be better rested, and feel more comfortable during a staycation than a real vacation. To me, that sounds like the chicest way to "travel!" It also gives you an excuse to do things in your city that you have always wanted to do, but do not have the time for. Today, I have put together a chic, relaxing, and fun staycation itinerary. I guarantee that a fabulous staycation is exactly what you needed! -- I am currently home in Minnesota, so the natural first stop on our staycation is to visit one of the 10,000 lakes here. Did you really summer if you didn't wear a white dress, and some espadrilles? 😊 Summer nights are my favorite of the entire year. The nights seems to last longer because there is more hours of day light. The sunsets are so beautiful during the summer, too. On my ideal summer night, it is still so warm outside, so you do not even need to bring a sweater for later. I have always love the look of a clean white dress on a summer evening. A little over one year ago, I took a trip with my best friend to Boston! We found round trip airfare for $90, and spontaneously bought it, and took a nice vacay. It was such an amazing trip! We were there for a few days during Memorial Day Weekend, and we felt like we did EVERYTHING!! Be prepared for a lot of pictures haha! (Better late than never for posting this, right?!) DAY 1: ~We had an early flight to Boston, and hit the ground running with a trip to Sam Adams, and then exploring some historical places in Boston.  DAY 2 ~We took a day trip out to Salem via the ferry. What a gorgeous day! I highly recommend this if you have time while in the area.  Note to self: come back to Salem, and stay in this B and B. DAY 3 ~Embraced the tourist-ness, and walked the ENTIRE freedom trail. I am so happy that it is finally starting to warm up, and feel like summer. I like I have mentioned this before here, but I really think I am cold blooded 😂. There are those memes that say "that one friend who is always freezing," and that is me (my friends and family constantly send me those memes with a 'you' and a laughing face emoji!). Even though it is summer, I still get chilly. I always carry a sweater for those just in case moments like after sunset, or going to grocery store because you know that they keep it at Arctic temps in there, haha. On a recent long weekend in the Hamptons, we had beautiful sunny weather during the day, but as the sun set, I was COLD! I had several options for sweaters, but kept going back to my Dudley Stephens fleece!! It is so stylish, and it kept me warm.
