  My Rhode Island trip was such a dream! We went for a long weekend to celebrate my cousin's 30th birthday, and had the best time. I will definitely be writing more of a guide post of what we did, and what I recommend. I did bring my big camera, but feel like I barely touched it and used my iPhone to snap quick photos of our travel. I kind of loved doing it that way, as I can easily look back at my camera roll on any occasion. I have done posts like this in the past, but not in a while because I have not really traveled since early, early 2020. So enjoy these (phone) snaps from the trip! When we got to RI, Tropical Storm Elsa was passing through, so our first full day was pretty rainy to start with, and we toured some mansions. This is the view from Marble House.   We took an extra long weekend last week, and drove up to the Finger Lakes in Upstate NY. I had never been there before, but wow was it beautiful. We spent our days there hiking in the mornings, and checking out wineries in the afternoon. It was a great time, and we picked the perfect time to go because the fall colors were gorgeous, and it hadn't gotten too chilly to sit outside and enjoy a glass of wine. It was actually a pretty cool place to stay because it had a lot of history, and was beautifully redone. Look at those original floors! A little over one year ago, I took a trip with my best friend to Boston! We found round trip airfare for $90, and spontaneously bought it, and took a nice vacay. It was such an amazing trip! We were there for a few days during Memorial Day Weekend, and we felt like we did EVERYTHING!! Be prepared for a lot of pictures haha! (Better late than never for posting this, right?!) DAY 1: ~We had an early flight to Boston, and hit the ground running with a trip to Sam Adams, and then exploring some historical places in Boston.  DAY 2 ~We took a day trip out to Salem via the ferry. What a gorgeous day! I highly recommend this if you have time while in the area.  Note to self: come back to Salem, and stay in this B and B. Ok, ok, I know. Going to NYC was not really traveling for me, but it was a staycation with the bestie visiting from MN! So it was traveling for her, so traveling for me?! Let's just go with that 😂 But anyway, I think this is going to be a new thing: whenever I go somewhere, I will have a travel diary with pics from my phone, mostly (have some from the Nikon that I have to share)! So here is our weekend in NYC. We had a blast!! Bluestone Lane has the yummiest avocado toast, and they have a gluten free bread for me! Next time, I am going to add some feta to my avo toast. Yummm!
