Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween! It is the last day of the month, and that means it is time to gear up for a VERY exciting time of year that starts tomorrow for me!!! I am wishing you a very fun and safe Halloween, and I am very curious if you dressed up or not! If you need a last minute costume idea, check out my easy costume posts here and here ! Here's to pumpkin spice, and everything nice, and photos from my trip to the Great Jack O'Lantern Blaze  🎃 As always,  #dontforgetyourpearls

Having a day of YES {preppy girl fall!}

White jeans  |   Ruffle neck shirt  |   Blazer  |   Loafers Sometimes you just need a day to live, be spontaneous, and fully enjoy yourself. I call it a Day of Yes. What you chose to do on your day of yes, is entirely up to you. Whatever it is, it should bring joy (#sparksjoy). The other week, we totally needed a day of yes, so we popped into the city for some wandering, cupcake eating, and imbibing. Wherever the day took us, that is where we ended up! We started out in the West Village to do some stoop stalking and look at fall decor schemes. Popping by the Friends Apartment Building is always a must while in the West Village. My  favorite  street/court in the city is Grove Court, and it was decorated to fall perfection. Of course a fun fall day comes with the perfect fall outfit: white jeans, navy ruffle neck top and camel blazer, completed with the most comfy loafers. I was dressed ready for anything on this day. From Grove Street, we wandered up Bleeck

What I'm Loving no. 10

It is nearing the end of October! Pumpkin season came, and has almost passed so quickly!! It is actually cooling off despite having a random 90 degree day at the beginning of the month. I finally transitioned my closet over to cold weather clothes, and realized that I donated so much winter clothes at the beginning of summer that my closet is looking a bit sparse. That's a great excuse to shop, right?! I have been loving some super cute things that may need to be added to my closet, as well as non-clothing things that have been sparking joy this past month! I love seeing how people decorate their stoops in the city! Trader Joe's Seasonal Items I am the epitome of basic in that I LOVE pumpkins. But, it is strange that I really dislike pumpkin pie....Anyway, Trader Joe's brings their A game every fall with the pumpkin and autumnal inspired releases. My top favorite, year after year, is the pumpkin ice cream. I usually do not do a ton of dairy, but will eat the wh

Costumes in your Closet: no. 2

If you guys remember from last year, I put together this post about easy Halloween costumes you most likely have in your closet already . I am all about a budget friendly/no cost seasonal decor, especially for Halloween costumes because it is so easy to repurpose something in your wardrobe to wear for one night! I had so much fun putting these costumes together last year, that I will be doing it again this year! I am hoping to make this an annual thing to see how creative I can get without repeating any looks! Mrs. Maisel-  Marvelous Mrs. Maisel This is definitely my favorite, and I want to do a full shoot for this look!! "We got the rabbi!" What you need: -cloche hat -trench coat -fit and flare dress -fancy gloves if you have them! Annie St. James - from The Parent Trap (I totally copied this from @carly from last year- here's her post, just find some one to be you Hallie!) What you need: -plaid/tweed skirt suit -headband -pumps Belle

Intense Study Guide- Part 2: Q and A

I am here with Part 2 of my study tips/guide - here is Part 1 if you missed it . This post is the Q + A! You guys asked questions about studying and learning on my Instagram, and I picked some common ones to answer! If you have any other questions, feel free to reach out because I would love to help answer and guide you in your studying! Also, you do not need to be a student to want to study better! 😉 1. How do you retain all of the information? From my experience, this comes best by getting multiple passes at the information. Such as when you preview lecture, and then go to lecture, add to your preview, and make study sheets. That is four times of seeing the information, so something is bound to stick in your brain! Repetition also helps. I find that some topics need flashcards, and going through the flashcards multiple times is a great way to learn the info, and retain because you are looking at it many times.  2. Help with color coding!! I think I kind of touched o

A night with GMG + Margaux

Thank you, Thomas, for directing us for a killer photo! My shoes  |   Julia's shoes  |   Julia's coat What a night this was. It was basically one my dreams come true. Earlier in the week, Gal Meets Glam launched their first coat collection in NYC! And, last month, they launched their shoe collection with Margaux ! So to celebrate the new GMG collections, they had a little event at the Margaux store in the West Village, NYC. It was a gross, rainy day, but I was attending no matter what! Julia, Thomas, the GMG team, and the Margaux team were all there! They even had the new coats to try on!! I knew I had to pull out all the stops for the outfit, and wore a favorite GMG dress from last winter, and my new GMG x Margaux pink velvet loafers !  It was such a gorgeous night, and I did try on every single coat, multiple times, and convinced some gals that they need to try on the GMG loafers !! I loved all of the coats. They are beautiful, and exactly what you expect fro

Pearls with a Twist

If you know me, you know I have a love for pearls. There is something so incredibly classic and timeless about them. They are for everyday wear, and can look special for an occasion. I wear pearls everyday as a statement for my style. I cannot pinpoint the moment when I fell in love with pearls, but it has been a long relationship with them. I do feel like they have influenced my style into what it is and its evolving into. I love pearls in any shape or form, and this  necklace  and bracelet from  Adler Grier  is a great twist on the classic jewelry. This necklace and bracelet are beautiful. It feels like an up-to-date version of a strand of pearls, but still has a classic, chic feel. They look great with any outfit or occasion you may have. The other day I wore these fabulous pearls, while exploring some cute Hoboken spots. I paired them with a midi skirt, striped shirt and blazer and felt like a chic, Parisian gal. The pearls really made me feel modern classic beca

Pinking of Fall

Pink loafers   |   Pink skirt   |   Pink sweater There has not been a shortage of pink posts this year. It has always been my favorite color, but has just been calling to me more lately; since this spring, actually, haha. When Gal Meets Glam announced their collaboration with Margaux , I knew the collection would be pretty in pink, and gorgeous. I was so right, and I HAD to treat myself to these loafers !! They are pink, pretty, and so ready for these cooler months (or really all year round!). The other night I just went for a monochromatic pink look, featuring the new loafers. At first, I was not feeling the all pink, but I suddenly felt confident, and embraced the head to toe rosiness. The pink look was perfect against the backdrop of a winery during a girls wine night. I obviously was wearing my favorite J. Crew sweater in pink  with the new GMG x Margaux loafers! The loafers are SO comfy, and I will be wearing them all the time until I can't or it s

Intense Study Guide- Part 1

After 4 years of undergrad, and one year of grad school with a semester to go, I have come to be a ~somewhat~ expert on study routines. About one year ago, I posted my study methods , and you guys seemed to like it, and find it helpful! In the past year, I have made a few adjustments, but really honed in more on what works for me. I have survived grad school (so far, haha), and will graduate with a really good GPA (not to brag, just to appeal to you that I have some great study tips!). Since it has been about a year, I thought that I would give my most detailed, updated study tips/guide I can give you. I still want to emphasize that what has worked for me, might not work for you, so if you need some study inspo, this is perfect. Or, if, you are totally lost in the study game like I was once, this could give a great starting point! *Also this is part 1 of 2!! Part 2 will come out shortly after this one, and I will be answering your study questions, so send them my way please! I
