Weekend Finds

How is it already the weekend, again? Summer is flying by, it is crazy. I have had another pretty uneventful week. I took our dog to the vet for her yearly check-up and vaccines, and actually got to go inside and meet the vet for the first time. Ah the joys of getting a dog in 2020, ahah. I also have been making more TikToks. Whoever thought that I would start an account, but dare I say that I have been enjoying the content creating part of it?! Anyway, here are the weekend finds! RECENT BUYS: -This Amazon Dress -its coming in the mail today, so we will see how it is. -Another pair of Lake Pajamas because they are my FAVORITE! Like I said last week, I am still unsure if I want to be shopping for summer or fall. It is still very much summer weather, so light, easy dresses are calling my name! I do have my eye on a chic pair of faux leather pants, I like: these , these and these . WEEKEND FINDS: JavaScript is currently disabled in this browser. Reactivate it to view this content.

My Nordstrom Sale Wishlist

The Nordstrom Sale is (finally) open to the public! Today, I wanted to share the few things that are on my NSale wishlist. I usually shop the sale to get things I use/wear all the time, or for pieces that rarely go on any kind of markdown. If there is something on your wishlist that has already sold out, Nordstrom tends to be a big restock before they open the sale to the public. I am keeping my fingers crossed for a few things to be restocked! 1. Asics Running Shoes - The model of shoe that is on sale has been the model I have worn for years. I definitely hope I can snag a pair in my size because it is always good to have some pairs of running/exercise shoes on deck when you put so many miles on each pair! 2. Natori Bra - I bought this brand of bra a couple of months ago, and it is the only brand of bra I want to wear from here on out. The fit is incredible, and they are so soft and comfy. Definitely don't sit on this one while they are on sale! (You can also find some of these

Puff Sleeve Dream

I have really into the trend of puff sleeves this summer. To be honest, I was not in love with this sleeve style when I first saw it everywhere. But I realized, you have to find the right kind of puff sleeve pieces for you and your style.  The details and print of the fabric on this puff sleeve dress are just so well done. I love how it is subtle while making a statement. I will never say no to this dress silhouette, as I think it looks good on everyone. I paired this dress with my new bow earrings from Tiffany Custard Designs , and I felt like a grandmillennial dream. (The earrings can be made clip-on! The owner, Tiffany, is so sweet, and I definitely want to buy another pair of earrings from her small business!) I was in one of my favorite park/gardens during golden hour. It always feels like I have stepped into summer gardens in Europe, like the English or French country. It is such a serene place, and a great place to be when the sun is setting. The lighting was magical, aha. I

Weekend Finds

Hello, happy Friday! I have been trying to get back to my normal posting schedule on here, but apparently, my brain is still on vacation. But I am getting this post up for you guys today, so I am considering that a win. I do have some fun content planned and coming in the next month, and I am so excited for it, so stay tuned :) Time is really flying by, and I need it to slow way down, aha.  I have actually been living in my Hill House Nap Dresses (picture below) because they are perfect for the hot weather. I should really add more to my collection, ahah. I am not sure what I am going to wear come fall time because I really love the nap dress life. Anyway, not much else to catch up on from my end- but, did you read the caption of the Instagram post I put up last friday?? If not, I snuck a fun little announcement in there! OH, and I put a few Nordstrom Sale picks in this week's post, and the sale opens up to the public on 7/28. RECENT BUYS: -I have been buying a lot of things for

What I'm Loving- Updated Favorites

Happy Tuesday, friends! I am trying to get back into my normal posting schedule now that I am back from my trip! (Look for a Rhode Island travel guide coming soon!) It has been so long since I have done a favorites post! I try to do them monthly, but it sometimes gets away from me, or I don't feel like I have any new favorites to share. I have quite the list to share this time because it has been so long, and I have broken them up into categories. FASHION: - Smocked Dresses: I think smocked dresses are always in style to some extent, but this summer they have really taken over. I am here for this! I wear a smocked dress almost every day, it seems, and I have never felt more comfy and stylish, aha. Love this one , this one and this one . - Nap Dresses: To go with smocked dresses, nap dresses have been another favorite. I love how you can style them any way you want from casual sitting at home to dressy with espadrilles and a cute handbag. They are light weight and perfect for

Postcards from Rhode Island

My Rhode Island trip was such a dream! We went for a long weekend to celebrate my cousin's 30th birthday, and had the best time. I will definitely be writing more of a guide post of what we did, and what I recommend. I did bring my big camera, but feel like I barely touched it and used my iPhone to snap quick photos of our travel. I kind of loved doing it that way, as I can easily look back at my camera roll on any occasion. I have done posts like this in the past, but not in a while because I have not really traveled since early, early 2020. So enjoy these (phone) snaps from the trip! When we got to RI, Tropical Storm Elsa was passing through, so our first full day was pretty rainy to start with, and we toured some mansions. This is the view from Marble House. It is one of the mansions on the Cliff Walk. The storm passed mid-afternoon, and the sun came out. We outfit changed, and explored Bowen's Wharf. Complete with rosé bubbly! All of the hydrangeas in bloom made me so hap

Nordstrom Sale

It is already that time of year again: time for the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! I was debating about putting my picks in a blog post form, but decided to just do some easy, stoppable widgets of the pieces that caught my eye. This sale usually gets a lot of hype and attention- it usually includes pieces that rarely go on sale, and a whole bunch of other things. I see the sale as a time to get basics you need/need to replace and a way to get ahead on some fall shopping. For example, if you need a new winter coat, now is the time to buy it during the sale. I picked things that stood out to me, like coats, basics, sneakers, and a few fun things! Obviously there is way more to the sale than these, but I have tried to vet what I think is worth it. Early access started yesterday, and the sale opens to the public on July 28. I am not a card holder, and cannot shop until the end of the month. If you are in the same boat, and you see something you like, don't forget to come back to this po

What I Packed for Rhode Island

I am SO excited to be back on the East Coast for a bit. Today, we are driving to Rhode Island to spend the long weekend and celebrate my cousin's 30th birthday (thirty, flirting and thriving, right?!). I have only been to Rhode Island on one other occasion, and that was a marching band trip where we marched in the oldest Fourth of July celebration in the country. Thinking back on that, it was a very surreal experience that I am grateful for, and I am even more excited to get to go back to that state and explore as an adult. As soon as I knew we would be going to Rhode Island, I thought about the outfits for the trip. It invoked a sense of the classic East Coast prep style that I already love so much, and so I took that as my packing inspiration! The Kiel James Patrick store/brand is based out of Newport, RI, so I will definitely be visiting and I had to leave room in my suitcase for some new KJP pieces. I haven't had to pack for travel in awhile, so I decided to take a new ap

Weekend Finds + Sales

Happy long holiday weekend! I hope you are doing something fun. We don't have any big plans, which is sometimes nice because you can go where the wind takes you and do whatever you fancy! There are so many sales this weekend that it is hard to keep track! I tried to incorporate some favorite sales, especially of favorite small businesses, in this weekend's finds. I will also be doing a round up of some brand's sales on my Instagram this weekend, so make sure you are following me there! Let us just hope on into it this weekend! PS- if you missed it, here are my picks for the HUGE J. CREW SALE ! WEEKEND FINDS: JavaScript is currently disabled in this browser. Reactivate it to view this content.

J. Crew Sale Picks

This dress is on sale! Happy July 1! J. Crew is having a pretty good sale on sale right now! All of their sale pieces are an extra 50% off and some are even an extra 60% off. I did order a few things, and might make another order aha. The sale runs through July 5, so you have time to peruse and make you selections. I have been linking pieces from the sale on sale on LTK, but wanted to do a bigger post here with everything. So enjoy my picks! Oh yes, I just got these linen pants in the mail. They are only $30 right now! I am wearing Tall sizes in them, for reference. (They say stretch linen, but are not that stretchy.) J. CREW SALE PICKS: JavaScript is currently disabled in this browser.
