  I cannot believe it is back to school time, already. It is also very strange that I am not going back to school this year...As I assume that most people are starting back up on Zoom University (or have mostly online classes) this fall, I have put together some of my best tips that will ensure a successful semester. Happy Monday Morning, Friends 😊 I hope you could have a nice weekend! I know I had a pretty good one- I got to safely see friends and have a nice socially distance picnic by the lake where we watched the sunset, and were charged by angry ducks...yes ducks! I have no idea what we did to make them angry, but one duck would start making a b-line for our blankets, then we would shoo it away, but it would call for reinforcement and then have its posse try to swarm our site.   Happy Friday! I realized that I have not had a post all week because I have been occupied with secondary applications for medical school (yay!). It is also mid-August now (😳), and I have yet to put up my July favorites! Crew is just having these amazing ongoing sales, and this dress is apart of it! You can get another glimpse of the outfit on my Quarantine Staycation post from yesterday! I almost feel like this is the dress of the summer ! J. Crew has restocked it so many times because it is that good. It is has fun swingy silhouette, and I have seen in on many women, and they all look SO good in it! I like that it is light for these hot summer days, and has fun details like the ruffle on the collar, and v-neckline. It is also eyelet, so it just screams summer!  A note on sizing: it runs big.   I would normally get a small in a J. Most things on the staycation itinerary can be quarantine friendly, but I wanted to write one specifically for quarantine and social distancing. You guys seemed to really like the first staycation post, so I figured it would be a good time to write another one! I have broken it up into: morning, afternoon, and evening with different things you could safely do every part of the day during your Staycation. Don't forget to bring and wear a mask !  MORNING: 1. Wake up and smell the coffee // Well, how about a mask wearing coffee run to that place you never quite get too because it is somewhat out of the way. Support a local coffee shop, grab a cup (and a doughnut!), and start your staycation on the right foot. 2. Have a slow morning // Make a special breakfast, read, needlepoint, just do something that you love. Definitely treat yourself to a long hot shower or bath to feel completely indulge

Here it is! My edition of #PreppyGirlSummer (remember Preppy Girl Fall !). I love this so much because I was able to shoot it in my favorite lake spot in Minnesota. AND, I found this amazing sweater from Minnetucket + Golden Girl Travel by Ellsworth and Ivey ! I grew by lakes, and I think this is why I love being by the water. I took these (safely) at my favorite lake town on Lake Minnetonka (like the sweater!). I love a good white jean for summer, and these are currently are a great deal at Nordstrom Rack! I love the raw hem and button fly. These with Jacks and my new favorite sweater felt like the perfect summer night by the lake outfit. Dog is not included, ahaha. She loves the water just as much as I do. I have never really shopped the Nordstrom sale, but when I heard that my all time favorite Gal Meets Glam dress was part of it, I decided to check it out. It is a very strange time to shop such a sale, but thought that very succinct, curated picks would be interesting to you! This year Nordstrom has a sale preview where you can actually save things to a wishlist so you can just shop from there when it is time. I have gone through almost everything in the preview, and made my curated list. I picked things that I have and love or know they are classic staples (for #wfh and post pandemic future) or know that they rarely go on sale. First is clothes, second is hair and beauty. The sale start date is August 4 for Nordstrom cardholders/highest Nordy Club status. I do not have a Nordstrom credit card, and am only at the most basic tier of their Insider rewards program, so I won't be able to shop until August 13.
