A Collage Dump

I have a bit of a different post today! I have been making a lot of collages and content for only my Liketoknow.it page , lately. There's been a lot of collages that I have loved to put together, and I decided that I should also share them here. But, they are all kind of different themes. So here a "collage dump" off several of the LTK posts! You can always find my LTK through the "Shop My Looks" page on here or find and follow me on the app @libbylovespearls (the same handle as my Instagram). Nightstand Essentials

Dress | Shoes (use libby10 for 10% off!) I was inspired to write this post by my friend Holley from byholley.com  who wrote a similar post on her blog and I loved the idea! It is kind of fun to see what every keeps on their bedside table and how they style it.  This is the night stand I have . I found it at Target of all places, and was not expecting to find one I loved so much there. I like it because it has a pretty big table top, and is less likely to look cluttered even when I keep setting things on it, aha. I love love the detailing of the shelf it has because it a woven rattan/wicker! Lets start with under the night stand and the middle shelf. Under the table, in a basket, I keep a couple of books I am going to read next, and right now I also have some random books about medical school interviews and a cocktail recipe book- random, I know. There's definitely more room in the basket for more!  On the shelf, I keep two prettier books that are the same in colo...

Winter Survival part 1- Indoors

We are here/it is here...winter that is (we have been having highs of 0 degrees...). I have kind of been anxious about this winter since the chilly weather started to settle in last fall. I was worried that winter would feel like last spring, and I think no one wants to revisit those feelings. But honestly, winter hasn't been as bad as I thought it was going to be, but it is also not great haha. I have definitely tried to adopt a more hygge mindset about embracing winter weather and all that you cozy indoor space can offer you.  So today, I am sharing my tips on how we are surviving this winter *indoors edition.*   Theme Dinner Nights- We started doing this to have something to look forward to every couple of weeks. Our theme is pick a travel destination, and make dinner from the destination. It has been fun! The other night we had Greek/Mediterranean, and it was incredible making everything at home. It could also be fun to try to make a recipe from a favorite restaurant from...

House Dress Chic

Florals for spring, groundbreaking. Thank you, The Devil Wears Prada for giving us the most iconic fashion line ever. Every spring when I am drawn to the new floral patterns, this line runs through my head, and I actually laugh to myself! Dress I got this happy, little dress from J. Crew a few weeks ago. It fits my flowy, easy, comfy spring+summer dress needs to a tee. It is also a blue floral pattern, which makes me extra happy! The weather is actually started to take a turn for the warmer, so I am looking forward to more days spent in summer dresses, or house dresses as they are so called now. I love the notion of the house dress, its almost like a modern take on the muumuu, and a way to be fashionably chic in your home! This dress is still available, but only in some sizes- similar one here , here and here . (Yes, I will still link to J. Crew items because it is truly what I wear, and a good representation of my style and closet 😊.) I do not ...

Graduation Day! 🎉

Its graduation day!! Well, sort of! I still wanted to celebrate this moment of gaining a Master's degree, and that is exactly what I did. I do not have much to say today, but if you are any type of 2020 Grads, I am sending a HUGE congrats, and just know that the world is big enough to live your dreams (even if it starts during a pandemic, this too shall pass 💕). In the words of Elle Woods: "We did it!" Skirt  |   Sweater  |   Similar Shoes  |   Bracelet As always,  #dontforgetyourpearls

Work/Study From Home Tips

I have always been a study at home kind of gal. I do appreciate an intense library study sesh, but love my own desk, chair, and stuff, haha. During undergrad, I disliked studying at the library because it was always packed, and could get loud even on the quiet floors 😑. I mostly went to the undergrad library because it has a coffee shop on the first floor, and the second floor looks like the Hogwarts Grand Hall. Now a days, we are all (mostly) at home studiers/workers [and here's where I give a big thanks and non-contact hug to the essential, frontline workers!]. We are quite far into staying at home, but I think tips at any stage of the game are helpful to gage if you are actually doing ok or not. 1. Set a schedule. // This will help with motivation and productiveness. Try to treat each day like you are at work/school; watch lectures when you normally have the class, work your normal work hours, have a lunch break, etc. You might think you have all the time in the wo...

Mini Glossier Review

I am not a beauty guru, haha. But, I do like make-up and skin care things, and love trying new to me brands. Way back in the beginning of March, I popped into the city to visit the Glossier Flagship store. I had been eyeing some things I wanted to try, but didn't want to order online for my first go. [For the record, what finally sucked me into the Glossier world was the constant Instagram ads I was getting 😂!] Ok, first off, the flagship store is SO aesthetically pleasing, no wonder all the trendy IG gals flock there. I knew I really wanted to try the Boy Brow, but had no clue what shade to get, same for the Cloud Paint. After testing them and chatting with one of the showroom girls, I went for this set - it has Boy Brow, Cloud Paint, and the Lash Slick (mascara) for a bundled price! I really recommend the sets if you are new to the brand! I have been reaching for these three products most during quarantine. Wearing them makes me feel more like myself, and put together, an...

A Dress to Elevate Your WFH Style

To be honest, most days I get up, and decide which Dudley Stephens fleece I want to wear. But, I am feel more inspired to actually get dressed each day because I really feel more myself when I do. I am also getting more inspired about clothes as we inch are way towards warmer weather, and my favorite: summer!  If you are worried about not being comfy in your getting dress for work from home, I have the best solution: an effortless, chic but still comfy maxi dress! I know I have given that piece of advice before, but it is really a good one. This is a new dress from Gal Meets Glam - it's called the Rosie, so I had to take some photos in it by the pretty flowers! It meets all of my long, chic, comfy dress requirements: being flowy, somewhat fitted, and the feeling like you can wear it all day. I would say it is a perfect dress to elevate your work from home look. Gal Meets Glam really does the effortless, chic maxi dress well, and a lot of my favorite dresses are from GMG! No su...

Quarantine Recipes We've Made + Loved

I am still not sure what day it is, but I am sure that this quarantine time has led us to make some delicious dinners! We have been cooking about every few days, and make enough to have leftovers for a couple of days after. This cuts down some stress about cooking in this already stressful time. The dinners we crave are warm, healthy-ish, comfort foods. And that's exactly what we have gone for! I am sharing the recipes we have made so far. We have loved them all! [we've also made all of these in the instant pot, and this is the one we have.] Breakfast recipe of my own creation: sautéed mushrooms and spinach + scrambled egg whites topped with avocado+everything but the bagel seasoning and salsa! I have also been more lenient about dessert every night, lol, and really want to give a shout out to my favorite/the BEST gluten free cookie dough: Sweet Loren's. I have tried many a pre-made GF cookie dough, and these are the winners!!! Detox Moroccan Lentil Soup I ...

5 Unique Things To Do While at Home

I am not sure what day of social distancing [it should actually be called physical distancing lol] we are on, but it is starting to feel like we have been doing this for months already 😅. Working from home or not, you are probably in need of things to take the place of your normal outings. My guess is that quite a few of you guys may have burned through Netflix, Hulu and Disney+ already, NO judgement because I have done my fair share of binge watching too!!! We are currently making our way through The Golden Girls available on Hulu! If you are already bored with streaming, books, puzzles and games, then this should be helpful. It is also great if you just need to mix things up a bit, like me! I really thrive off having a variety of things to do, so I have cultivated this list of unique things to do while we are all doing our part and staying home. Let me know if you have found any different activities! Here's some more unique ways to spend your time!! 1. Do a deep...
