Favorite Spots: Minneapolis, MN

Another edition of my Favorite Spots here. This time, we are talking Minneapolis, MN. The other twin of the Twin Cities! Just like its twin, Minneapolis has so many amazing spots that it is hard to narrow down my favorites. BUT, I think I did a good job, and rounded up some of the best places in this city. Again, the Twin Cities are a very foodie, active, artsy pair of cities, and my favorite places definitely fall under those categories. So I have switched things up, and organized my Minneapolis faves just like that! I have several favorites in Minneapolis, but I have never lived on that side of the river, so I know my favorites barely scratch the surface on what this Twin City has to offer!

Favorite Eat + Drink
Betty Danger's Country Club- I think I have professed my love for BD a few times already on PWP. It is seriously my most favorite place ever! You must go to ride the Ferris wheel, and play mini golf!
Longfellow Grill- A great spot by the river, closer to St. Paul! One of my faves for an easy, and delicious dinner. They have a great patio.
Hola Arepa- Everything here is gluten free!! I like the empanadas, corn balls, and their specialty cocktails!

Coffee
Penny's- I have only been here once, but OMG so cute, and such great coffee!
Spyhouse- I feel like this is a good standby place located all throughout the twin cities. I love grabbing coffee here!
Isles Bun and Coffee- I have only had coffee here, and it is amazing! BUT, they are known for their giant cinnamon rolls. They keep a tub of cream cheese frosting on the counter so you can smother you roll in as much as you desire!

Drinks!
Tattersall- This place is still my favorite distillery ever. They have a craft cocktail menu that will knock your socks off! I will drink anything with their infamous gin! They also have something called The Bradshaw which is their version of a cosmo named after the gal who put it on the map. Also, the history of the building it is in, is an incredible story!
Norseman- Another great distillery. It is in an industrial/warehouse area, and has a cute minimalistic vibe. They also have their own food menu, which is always a plus!
Sociable Cider- There are a TON of breweries in Minneapolis that are very popular, but as a girl with celiac, beer is a no go. So, I am so happy there is a cidery in Minneapolis! They have the best flavors because they get so creative, like a gin and tonic style cider!

Sights
Foshay Tower- This is a gorgeous historic skyscraper in downtown Minneapolis. Its now a hotel, but they have a little museum and observation deck on the top floors! The views are insane!!
Stone Arch Bridge- I suggest that you start from the St. Anthony and Main neighborhood because you will get the best views of the skyline that way!
Sculpture Garden- Home to the famous cherry and spoon sculpture.
A Historic Theater- Did you know Minnesota has the is second to NYC in theater seats per capita?? So do yourself a favor and checkout one of the many gorgeous historic theaters, like the Orpheum!
Target Field- I love a good baseball game. This stadium is home to the MN Twins!! I will forever be a fan.

Sweets
Sift- This is a COMPLETELY gluten free bakery. Do I need to say more?
Milk Jam- Such yummy ice cream with fun flavors, and the line is always out the door (even in the dead of a MN winter!!).
MNice Cream- This place was a new discovery last summer. They have soft serve ice cream, and always have a vegan flavor options. They also have the most insane cones with all the toppings (here's their gram). My favorite thing is the gluten free waffle cones!! AND edible glitter!!!

**P.S.**
Minneapolis is called the City of Lakes, so seeing one of the many lakes in the city is a must!

As always,

Coastal Grandmother Aesthetic

Who else has been loving the  Coastal Grandmother aesthetic trend on TikTok? I've been very engrossed in this trend that is actually not at all trendy and a nod to classic style, which I LOVE. Classic summer style is one of my favorite facets of classic style- linen dresses and pants, sun hats, walks on the beach and lots of rosΓ©. This is literally me. And I consider myself a grandmillennial, so coastal grandmother is not too far off. Some may call it coast-grand-millennial ;) ALSO, a couple of weeks ago the Today Show did a segment on the trend, and featured a clip from one of my coastal gran TikToks! These are things you need to create your own coastal grandmother aesthetic, the coastal grandmother starter kit if you will. You probably have most of these things in your closet if you are a fellow classic style lover, like myself. So lets all live our lives as if we lived in a Nancy Meyers movie, and have the best coastal grandmother girl summer. Coast Grandmother Essentials: - B

What I Packed for Rhode Island

I am SO excited to be back on the East Coast for a bit. Today, we are driving to Rhode Island to spend the long weekend and celebrate my cousin's 30th birthday (thirty, flirting and thriving, right?!). I have only been to Rhode Island on one other occasion, and that was a marching band trip where we marched in the oldest Fourth of July celebration in the country. Thinking back on that, it was a very surreal experience that I am grateful for, and I am even more excited to get to go back to that state and explore as an adult. As soon as I knew we would be going to Rhode Island, I thought about the outfits for the trip. It invoked a sense of the classic East Coast prep style that I already love so much, and so I took that as my packing inspiration! The Kiel James Patrick store/brand is based out of Newport, RI, so I will definitely be visiting and I had to leave room in my suitcase for some new KJP pieces. I haven't had to pack for travel in awhile, so I decided to take a new ap

Favorite Spots: St. Paul, MN

I have been thinking about Minnesota lately, and felt like reminiscing on some of my favorite spots in St. Paul, MN. Most people hear a city in Minnesota, and think Minneapolis. Although I love the treasures of Minneapolis, I went to college in St. Paul (Roll Toms πŸ˜ŠπŸ’œ), and lived there for 6 years, so it has a special place in my heart. First off, lets get familiar with this city. St. Paul is the state capitol of MN!! It is NOT Minneapolis as so many people think! It is the older of the Twin Cities, and I think has more charm. Its divided into neighborhoods like any other city, and some of the best spots, are little neighborhood gems. The Twin Cities are both equally "Foodie" places, and we love some craft breweries/distilleries, and good eats!! Grandview Theatre pictured above! Used to walk there during college just to get popcorn! Merriam Park University of St. Thomas - my alma matter! (I surprisingly do not have any good pics of UST..) Izzie's Ice Cre
