Gift Guides are Here!!

Happy Monday! I finished these up over the weekend because I wanted to get my 2020 Gift Guides out to you sooner than later! In the gift guide, I explain why I launched these in October, but the abridged version is that everyone will be online shopping for the holidays this year, and this enormous influx of shoppers will cause things to sell out fast, and take longer for companies to ship! I also wanted to do it earlier because I am definitely feeling the holiday spirit!

This years gifts were definitely centered on how to elevate our more homebound lives. Lots of cozy, lots of self care, but of course with a bit of glam because I feel so much more like myself when I get up and ready for the day!

My core guides are: for her, for him, at home, beauty/health, and gifts under $50. They will always live on that page in the header of the blog! I do plan to put together a few more guides for the normal blog feed, so keep your eyes out for that one, and let me know if there is anything you want to see in particular!

I have this on the Gift Guide page, but will put it here just so you can find it in many spots, but I actually have a couple of codes/links you can use:

LIBBY10- use this at Margaux, and receive 10% off your purchase, see my favorite shoes here!

$25 off at Dudley Stephens- You can use this link for $25 off a fleece at Dudley Stephens!

Let me know if you have any questions about either! I am a Margaux Ambassador, so I love chatting about the brand, and love when you guys support that venture!

Happy early holidays, from me 💝

As always,

#dontforgetyourpearls

Coastal Grandmother Aesthetic

Who else has been loving the  Coastal Grandmother aesthetic trend on TikTok? I've been very engrossed in this trend that is actually not at all trendy and a nod to classic style, which I LOVE. Classic summer style is one of my favorite facets of classic style- linen dresses and pants, sun hats, walks on the beach and lots of rosé. This is literally me. And I consider myself a grandmillennial, so coastal grandmother is not too far off. Some may call it coast-grand-millennial ;) ALSO, a couple of weeks ago the Today Show did a segment on the trend, and featured a clip from one of my coastal gran TikToks! These are things you need to create your own coastal grandmother aesthetic, the coastal grandmother starter kit if you will. You probably have most of these things in your closet if you are a fellow classic style lover, like myself. So lets all live our lives as if we lived in a Nancy Meyers movie, and have the best coastal grandmother girl summer. Coast Grandmother Essentials...

What I Packed for Rhode Island

I am SO excited to be back on the East Coast for a bit. Today, we are driving to Rhode Island to spend the long weekend and celebrate my cousin's 30th birthday (thirty, flirting and thriving, right?!). I have only been to Rhode Island on one other occasion, and that was a marching band trip where we marched in the oldest Fourth of July celebration in the country. Thinking back on that, it was a very surreal experience that I am grateful for, and I am even more excited to get to go back to that state and explore as an adult. As soon as I knew we would be going to Rhode Island, I thought about the outfits for the trip. It invoked a sense of the classic East Coast prep style that I already love so much, and so I took that as my packing inspiration! The Kiel James Patrick store/brand is based out of Newport, RI, so I will definitely be visiting and I had to leave room in my suitcase for some new KJP pieces. I haven't had to pack for travel in awhile, so I decided to take a new ap...

A Thanksgiving Look

Turtleneck  |   Skirt  |   Tights  |   Boots Thanksgiving is only one week away! I am excited to go home, and spend time with my family and friends. This is a holiday that is HARD to dress for. On one hand, you want to wear joggers and a big sweater because of all of the yummy food and treats. On the other hand, you want to dress up, or slightly dress up while still feeling comfy. Hence, the big dressing dilemma: how to create the right look for your kind of holiday? I like to dress it up a little , without wearing a cocktail outfit or gown, haha. I created this look for a dressy, casual look. It is an easy outfit to put together, and I bet you have some similar pieces in your closet! A turtleneck, plaid skirt and tights is such a classic fall look that is also great for this holiday. It is kind of an easy dressing equation too because it is so easy to mix and match what you have in your closet, or buy one new piece that you know will go with an...
