Blue and White For Fall

I am going to be honest, all throughout summer I thought about how I was going to wear my favorite color way into fall. It was easier in the beginning of the season to wear more warm weather dresses because it was still in the 90's. And then, I found this dress. It was just the piece I was envisioning to take my favorites into the cooler weather season. The blue and white florals, the long puff sleeves and the darling collar really help tie it together for fall! Did I mention that this dress is in the $30 range?? Because it is, and it totally looks and feels like it could be more expensive!

I was also very excited that clogs came back. I love how they look a bit more "fall" but still have some feminine touches that match my current season of style- grandmillennial. I have been wearing these clogs every other day because they just go with anything- dresses, skirts, jeans, anything!

I almost always have a sweater tied around my neck just in case I get cold, which is often. I love that this is form and function for an outfit. Its great draped over this dress as an almost accessory, and it also looks nice if you need to throw it on over. Sometimes I wear a cardigan over the dress, but I wish I had a cream colored cardigan like this sweater.

This is proof that you can wear light, muted colors in the fall! I still love my darker neutrals and classic patterns for this time of year, but it has been so much fun exploring all avenues of my style that I have chatted about before. I have this dress and other gorgeous blue and white options linked below! What is you favorite trend this fall, or what are you experimenting with? I am always curious! :)

Have a happy Monday!

As always,

Coastal Grandmother Aesthetic

Who else has been loving the  Coastal Grandmother aesthetic trend on TikTok? I've been very engrossed in this trend that is actually not at all trendy and a nod to classic style, which I LOVE. Classic summer style is one of my favorite facets of classic style- linen dresses and pants, sun hats, walks on the beach and lots of rosé. This is literally me. And I consider myself a grandmillennial, so coastal grandmother is not too far off. Some may call it coast-grand-millennial ;) ALSO, a couple of weeks ago the Today Show did a segment on the trend, and featured a clip from one of my coastal gran TikToks! These are things you need to create your own coastal grandmother aesthetic, the coastal grandmother starter kit if you will. You probably have most of these things in your closet if you are a fellow classic style lover, like myself. So lets all live our lives as if we lived in a Nancy Meyers movie, and have the best coastal grandmother girl summer. Coast Grandmother Essentials...

What I Packed for Rhode Island

I am SO excited to be back on the East Coast for a bit. Today, we are driving to Rhode Island to spend the long weekend and celebrate my cousin's 30th birthday (thirty, flirting and thriving, right?!). I have only been to Rhode Island on one other occasion, and that was a marching band trip where we marched in the oldest Fourth of July celebration in the country. Thinking back on that, it was a very surreal experience that I am grateful for, and I am even more excited to get to go back to that state and explore as an adult. As soon as I knew we would be going to Rhode Island, I thought about the outfits for the trip. It invoked a sense of the classic East Coast prep style that I already love so much, and so I took that as my packing inspiration! The Kiel James Patrick store/brand is based out of Newport, RI, so I will definitely be visiting and I had to leave room in my suitcase for some new KJP pieces. I haven't had to pack for travel in awhile, so I decided to take a new ap...

A Thanksgiving Look

Turtleneck  |   Skirt  |   Tights  |   Boots Thanksgiving is only one week away! I am excited to go home, and spend time with my family and friends. This is a holiday that is HARD to dress for. On one hand, you want to wear joggers and a big sweater because of all of the yummy food and treats. On the other hand, you want to dress up, or slightly dress up while still feeling comfy. Hence, the big dressing dilemma: how to create the right look for your kind of holiday? I like to dress it up a little , without wearing a cocktail outfit or gown, haha. I created this look for a dressy, casual look. It is an easy outfit to put together, and I bet you have some similar pieces in your closet! A turtleneck, plaid skirt and tights is such a classic fall look that is also great for this holiday. It is kind of an easy dressing equation too because it is so easy to mix and match what you have in your closet, or buy one new piece that you know will go with an...
