Hello! I know it has been so long since my last published post, but back today with another work wear capsule. (I really want to get back to more regular posts!) I was inspired to put this together as I have somewhat of a winter uniform and reach for great basics most days and add things to pull together a cute and warm look for the office (well clinic or hospital for me 😊). I have another great work capsule wardrobe post from last late summer/fall so if it is not as cold where you live I would definitely check out that one: what to wear to work. A lot of those pieces I shared in that post would also transition nicely to colder months with adding some layers, sweaters, and tights!
I like to think of easy basics to keep in my closet so it is easy to pull out simple pieces that can all mix and match. I also have a handful of more "fun" pieces to add to my basics such as striped T's and turtlenecks, tweed lady jackets, scarves, etc. I try to dress in layers or pick pieces I know will sit well under my white coat and not feel bulky. Pieces like a black long sleeve T shirt have so much versatility for you casual and office styles- I have often paired one with a pair of trousers or skirt and tights for a simple but elevated look. I also think it is nice, but maybe not necessary, to have a nicer looking coat to where to the office in the winter depending on your job and if you have a commute or not. A nice coat is also a great piece to have for dressier nights out during the winter like attending a party, seeing a show or ballet, or even to attend a holiday market and you want a cute pic (personal problem probably haha).
